Dried Beef Gravy Recipe

A savory gravy good to serve over bread for any meal of the day.

Ingredients
4 T butter
1/2 lb dried beef
7 T flour
4 c milk
Directions
  1. Melt butter in large skillet.

  2. Chop dried beef into small pieces and fry lightly in melted butter.

  3. Add flour and mix until butter is absorbed and beef pieces are coated.

  4. Slowly stir in milk a little at a time.

  5. Heat over medium high, stirring constantly, until gravy is just boiling and has thickened.

  6. Serve over sliced bread.
