Recipe Directions for Dried Cantaloupe

  1. Preheat oven to 185?F or as low as your oven will go. Place a Silpat silicone mat on a baking sheet.

  2. Wash the cantaloupe and use a spoon to remove the seeds.

  3. With a large knife, make thin slices, cut of the skin and place on the pan.

  4. Continue until the pan is full, trying not to overlap pieces.

  5. Put the cantaloupe in the oven, and bake for 2 to 3 hours, flipping them over every 30 minutes or until they're dry. Avoid cooking too long, or you'll end up with cantaloupe chips

  6. Store leftovers (if there are any!) in an airtight container. Since these are preservative-free, enjoy them within a few days.
