What do I drink on New Years!?!?!
I don't want to take in thousands of calories on new years eve but I do plan on going out and having a good time. Does anyone know what the best, low calorie hard liquor drink would be? I know to mix it with diet pop or what I usually do it mix it with diet rasberry icetea mix and water (5 calories). I saw that vodka is 64 calories an ounce!! that could really add up.
Perhaps its hopeless and I should just not eat new years eve-day. Then I'll get sick and throw up what I drank....sorry, that was inappropriate, just honest...I'm young, its acceptable. AND I go out like once every 2 monthes.
So, anyone have any suggestions?
Can you make wine spritzers with sugarfree sparkling water and your favorite wine? That shouldn't be too bad.
And have you compared calories for the various brands of light beer out there?
=^..^= MOLLY
Beck's Light only has like 65 calories per beer.
i believe bud light is under 100 calories. so is coors light, but im not positive. just try and keep track of what you drink and perhaps not gorge yourself that day so you don't go too far over your limit. DEFINATELY eat though. and if you go over, eh, its only one day.....just make sure its worth it and you have fun!
Yeah I would be interested to hear which spirits are lowest. I was planning Vodka and Red Bull lite. But if there are lower cal sprits definitely having them!
Definately eat beforehand. If you don't, the alcohol will hit you right away nd you might also b more likely to eat what's in front of you, not necessarily what you'd choose.
I bought some Mike's Light Hard Lemonaid for New Years Eve. It's 98 calories per bottle. I will only drink two. So I will do a light lunch (can of soup for 220 calories) to make up for the extra 200 calories in drinks. Now if I control my snacking all will be well!
I think you should drink whatever you enjoy. If you want to minimize calories continue to use diet mixers and certainly single liquors drinks, ie rum & diet coke or vodka and diet rasberry ice tea will be the best. Avoid long island ice teas they are loaded with calories! If you like dreamcicles try mixing vanilla vodka with diet orange soda. It is fabulous. From the sound of your posting I don't think one night of splurging will matter. Have fun and Be Safe!
Vodka diet is your best bet. Make sure you eat first, puking and hangovers are no fun, and can be easily avoided by eating/drinking (water). Even if you go over, one day of drinking is not going to destroy your overall plan. If you drink 10 drinks it'll only be 650 calories. Just make good choices for the rest of your calories that day.
Be sure to alternate your drinks with water, so you don't become so dehydrated. (my friend drinks gatorade but that has cal.)
Happy New Year!
Take care.
are you really concerned about vodka being 64 calories per oz? knowing that, and then you saying you can consume 1000's of calories that night....ummm i hope your math was wrong.
fruity absolut vodkas(same cals as regular) + diet sprite = yum
flavoured vodka and soda water - or vodka with soda water and fresh lime. Yum!
diets and captains, or Michelob Ultra is 60 calories and no carbs, and like someone previously mentioned, Becks light is only 64 calories.
don't forget ladies, they put AN OUNCE & A HALF (a jigger) in a mixed drink, not just one ounce, so those 60-some cals per ounce liquors really have 90+ cals per drink.
my strategy this year is to resist the pull of vodka & bacardi, and stick with miller light (94 cals/bottle or something close) so i don't get too drunk too fast!! ruins the NYE!! also, i'm drinking tons of water today...
please eat before you drink nicole. just maybe eat your dinner a couple hours earlier than usual.
