drinking binge :(( feeling soo bad right now!! help..........

this summer i worked so much that i just didn't go out a lot. i lost 21 pounds and feel great..but since getting back to school i've been drinking some and i just feel like i'm out of control when i drink. i eat everything in sight. i had bacalava, shrimp, chocolate cake, wheat thins, cheese, beer, wine, and vodka tonight and feel disgusting. i don't want to gain the weight back!!!!!!!!!!!!! my eating habits are generally good but it's just so hard not to drink when i'm out with friends. help, anyone?

I understand your pain... i too cannot control my drinking... one drink quickly becomes 4 or 5. the good news is that i then pass out so i can't eat, but thats not really a good solution. All i can suggest is eating a good, filling snack first and making the decision that you will not eat while drinking, unless it is vegetables. It takes the whole judgement thing out of the picture.
Offer to be the designated driver...or make hash marks on your hand to record the number of drinks you've had.

I understand too...  I do really good in the week... but on the weekends, I tend to overdrink and eat.  Last weekend I had a bottle of wine... plus a lot of chips and salsa.  This friday I had way too much beer and yeger, and then ate a pita.  Saturday after drinking a few mixed drinks, I ate a krispy kreme doughnut and had a real cherry coke.  I went WAY over even the maintenance calorie limits.  :-( 

I'm not too sure if there is a solution (other than just to not do it... )  I'd be interested to hear of any suggestions...  I think I'm just going to work on self control and moderation (and be dd!) 

now that i think about it... on the bright side there is slight improvement.  Only one doughnut and I split a hummus pita... with no dressing.  I also went salsa dancing saturday... so at least I moved around while drinking.  Before this summer my choices would have been worse...  but I still have a long way to go

I'm going to try and plan what I will drink before going out, allot the calories, and stick to it.
