I was wondering if anyone knew anything about G2 (by Gatorade) or a thing called vitamin water? I was been drinking mostly just plain water and a cup of milk at dinner, but i was wondering if either of those were good or okay for ya also?

I don't know about G2, but Life Water, Vitamin Water and all those products usually have quite a bit of sugar in them.  They do have vitamins, but I wonder how much of their vitamin content actually gets absorbed by the body.  If you're looking for flavor in your water, it seems like you'd be better off adding a splash of juice.  If you're looking for vitamins, it's better to just get them from the foods you eat.

Of course, they won't kill you.  I just don't think they're worth the money or the calories.

You're always better of drinking water and getting your vitamins from a balanced diet and a good variety of foods.  An occasional soft drink or sports drink wouldn't do you any harm but don't fall for the hype.  There are a lot of very artificial 'fake' foods and drinks that claim a lot of health benefits or energy-boosting properties when, in fact, you're better of drinking water and eating a few oranges.

I saw G2. I never tried it tho i think its just like every other drink like it. I'd rather just drink good old water.

I tried the red G2 and it was pretty good-70 calories for the whole bottle.  I don't usually drink sports drinks but I think having one once in awhile is ok, especially if you are involved in vigorous exercise.

dont know anything about the gatorade but i have life water , not to good lol its like 100 calories per bottle ( 40 per 8 oz ) i was drinking those and switched to plain water the stats are total fat -0 sodium - 35 ( 8 oz ) 95 ( full bottle ) carbs - 10 ( 8 oz ) 25 ( bottle ) sugars - 10 ( 8 oz ) 24 ( bottle ) vit c - 100 ; 250

vit e 20 ; 50

niacin - 10 ; 25

vit b6 -  10 ; 25

vit b12- 10 ; 25   pantothenic acid 10 ; 25

hope that helped lol

G2 has splenda (sucralose) in it so I won't drink it.  I like vitamin water and it's half the calories of coke so for me it's a good choice when I want to drink something sweet.  I won't drink anything with fake sugar (or even stevia).  The taste ruins whatever it's in.
