me next i guess!

I live in Columbus, Ohio and work for Ohio State University at the most boring desk job ever! i am usually a very active person so this job just makes the days drag by...

but anyways, i am 19 (close enough to 20?!), 5'7, and currently weight around 140. my goal has always been 125... but im pretty bad at staying on track :/

this website has basically become an obsession over the last few weeks bc i just sit and play on the computer all day, and what not a better way than to dream about food all day? haha.

i have never really posted anything before, but maybe this will finally give me the motivation that i need to start getting by butt into shape!

I live in Michigan... I am a promotional sales rep, a 9-5 on my ass which sux!

I just turned 25! EEKK! I joined July 26th, started at 155, CW 150 GW 135!!

I jump on the scale every morning when I wake up, it helps keep me in check.

I just started a new exercise program (dvd) and I really like it. I hope I can stick to it! The weekends and going to the bar are my calorie enemies!

oooh oooh can i join? im 21 and live in London. im an art student but working full time over the summer at a local school to bring in some hard earned cash lol!

SW 146

CW 143 (its falling off veeeeeeery slowly! lol)

GW 125

im a pretty active person although at the moment im sporting an injured knee which is stil recovering. im relying only on cal deficit to lose weight at the moment, which im not used to! cant wait to get back out running again :)

Hi there... can i join?

I am 24 and live in Boston.  I have an office job which gets on my nerves.  I used to be a dancer and have completely let myself go since I stopped dancing 5 years ago.

SW: 150

CW: 142

GW: 125

I started really working out (4-5 times a week) right after the 4 of July (when I saw pictures of myself in a bathingsuit!).  Have been counting calories since July 25.  My biggest obstacle is booze Embarassed.  I tend to go out a lot with my friends and my new husband... and it is so tough to not eat crap food and drink for hours.

Any motivation and tips welcome!!!!

Can I join?

I turn 25 on Friday!!  I live in Minnesota, and I work at an accounting office during the day, go to school at night, and my husband and I are opening a gym this fall!

I'm 5 ft 3 in.

SW: 138

CW: 134

GW: 120

I try to run or bike at least 5 days a week.  My biggest obstacles are going to the bar or golfing with my husband.  Golfing should be good for you, right!  Not when we bring a six pack with us in the cart.  My husband doesn't seem to worry about what he eats or drinks, he's always the same size.

How do you keep those around you supportive?

can I join??

I'm 23, 5'6'' and weight 151.8 as off this morning! down from 156.  Looking to be 145 by the end of this month, and ultimately 135.

Hi nbradford...

Fortunately I have a husband who is also in the mindset of losing 15-20 pounds, so I get some motivation from him.  But as the difference of men and women, we have been eating the same thing, doing just as much exercise and he has already lost 15 lbs in the past 2 months, while I've lost barely 8 Frown.

I started coming here about 3-4 weeks ago, and I can find the support here, along with tracking my daily intake.  It truly is a personal battle and a tough one at that.

As far as bringing a six pack golfing... check out this: http://www.beer100.com/beercalories.htm  We used to drink a lot of Sam Adams or Yuengling, but have started drinking more Miller Lite, or Mich Ultra... it's about a 20-40 calorie difference, which can defintiely add up after 3-4+ beers!

My SO is one of those lucky 'eat anything i like and still stay thin' men! It was really hard at first, but we've both adapted to my healthier lifestyle. For example, on monday he was desperate for pizza, so he ordered it and ate it in front of me. before this would have bothered me but not any more - of course, i still WANTED the pizza haha, but saying no to bad foods just makes me feel so much more positive :)

With the drinking, i like the idea of sticking to lower cal drinks :) i love my cider, so i still drink it, but il have a glass of water in between so i end up drinking less :)

OP! I'm also from Ontario.

I'm a student going into my junior year.

I'm 20, joined CC in mid June, starting at 155, CW 151.5.

GW end of summer - 146

GW II - 140

I am fairly active. I do run 5x a week (alternating between 5Ks and intervals) and lift twice a week. Jump on the scale pretty much every morning and yes CC is my obession basically. My biggest challenge is nighttime eating!! i am the biggest binger ever.

Hi all!

I'm 5'7, junior in college, almost 21. I am a collegiate swimmer, which many people think means I can eat whatever I want becuase I work out so often... but the problem is I am a bottomless pit and I'm usually reaching for sugary carbs! I also tend to binge, which puts me in a way bad cycle of eating crazy one day while promising myself that I will be perfect the next day (which never happens!)

So I am working on losing weight right now by eating healthy and not binging

CW - 147

GW - 130

Hi Everyone!

I'm 22... soon to be 23... from Michigan. I've been out of college now for a year and still haven't been able to lose that weight I put on during college! I think my biggest struggles are weekends & eating with my boyfriend. We always go out to eat or not eat very healthy because we feel like we're on vacation when we see each other (long distance relationship). I am an accountant & pretty much at my computer all day... but I dont really have a problem with eating during work.

I just joined yesterday! I'm 5'7 & my current weight is 149 & my short term goal within the next month is 140, but would generally like to be stable in the low-mid 130s!

Also, for you girls who like to golf with your husbands... I've started bringing watermelon with a little bit of cinnamon sprinkled on top-- the cinnamon is supposed to curb your appetite, it really works for me! I dont even want to drink more than one beer during the round! :)

Hi, I joined the first of this week. I am 5'1"& my cw is 136. My gw is 120. I am a stay at home wife therefor I am not getting the exercise I did when I worked. I have cut back my calories and have got back on the treadmill. So far so good!

hi guys!

i'm 20, 5'7" CW: 138  GW: 125. i just joined CC at the beginning of the month, and i too antram have been obsessively exploring this website during my boring summer desk job! haha

i go to college in vermont, and my biggest challenge is boosin and weekends in general. i've been doing great during the week while i'm at work, but the beers and the drunken bingeing certainly aren't helping. and of course i tend to see my friends more on the weekends, who are all in great shape and yet can eat whatever they want. so that added peer pressure.. but i'm trying through trial and error to fit it all in :)

Hello!

25 (going to be 26 in 2 weeks- Happy almost Birthday nbradford) from Chicago.  I have a desk job as well (which was the cause of the weight gain...), but I am walking on my lunches and working out 4-5 times a week.  I am also vegetarian and right now am heavily considering vegan.  I just joined CC at the beginning of August as well.  I have been avoiding the bleached/enriched starches/breads and alcohol, which has helped tremendously.

I am 5'6".    SW-165    CW-150    GW-125

I am standing in a girlfriend's wedding in 3 1/2 weeks, so as much as I can lose before then (healthily) is my goal.  My striving for a healthier lifestyle won't stop after the wedding, though.  I started this a few weeks ago and my motivation also was seeing an unflattering picture of myself.  I am married (two years this fall), and my husband, too, can eat anything he wants and not gain an ounce.  Really, it isn't fair!  But I vow to get back to the 125 I was when we got married.

Bravo on the post parsonssam.  I'm all about it.

HEY NBRADFORD, I'm also from MN!

I am 25, approx 5'6.5 and weighed in at 144 this morning. I actually joined CC in 2006, and sadly was around 136 when I originally signed up. The CC toolbar on my browser is constantly reminding me that im "up" 8 lbs. Grrr..

I'm unemployed and searching for work, I also goto school 3 nights a week but have FT homework.

I'm addicted to smoothies. They're my latest obsession. Tastes like a treat, but low in cals and high in vitamins and protein. Delicious!

I recently started running/jogging/walking about 1 hour a day/ ~3.5 miles in addition to 20 minutes of Winsor pilates. I can't believe some people have done this all their lives! I feel like such a hero when I work out for so long.. then I remember its really just the daily recommended amount.

My goal weight is 125. My short-term goal weight is 135. I can't seem to break the 140's. :(

ANYONE ELSE get so tired when people say "you look fine!"????

Hi Everyone,

I hope it's not too late to join.

I'm 24 yrs, 5'3" from Ontario and will be starting student-teaching in the next month with a grade 6 class (which scared the headlights out of me). Which also means I will be planning all the time.  In addition i'm keeping my summer job on the weekends. and have to squeeze in some time for my boyfriend.

I've been trying to lose the last 20 lbs for a while now and have just started to see some changes.  I'm worried that with the change in schedule and with so much more to do, the weight is simply going to come right back (and then some)

SW: 140

CW: 137.4

GW: 120

vwilmar, yes, I absolutely hate it when people say, "you look fine?" or "You dont need to lose weight" it's irritating.

Vwilmar -

Yes! I am so tired when people tell me I look fine!!! It is one reason I do not tell people I'm trying to lose weight. They end up telling me I look fine, I'm skinny, blah blah blah. Then I start thinking oh yeah I guess I look okay and so I eat the crap that they are eating as well... and of course later on, I don't feel fine at all.

So yeah I'm right there with you!

Hi Ladies!

I'd love to join you all!  My name is Danielle and I am 5'10'' (yeah im an amazon!) and right now I weigh approx. 153.  I started at about 161 in early May.  I am training for the New York Marathon right now which is on Nov. 2nd.  You might think with running 30-45 miles a week I'd be getting super skinny.....WRONG!  Boozing and a social life definitely gets in the way!  Also the naughty secretaries in my office bring in loads of sweets and candies....my weakness!  I eat a healthy breakfast, usually a quite healthy lunch, and dinner varies based on social engagements.  With it being summer I just find it so difficult to avoid going out for drinks when my friends are just about every night!

I am moving to Boston in November right after the marathon and I would like to be about 140, which could change depending on how I feel at 140-145 range.  Good luck to you all!
