Question? I have lost as of Today the 100 Lb mark of Lost weight... YIPPEE!! ( Ok Im done) :-) Question is.. Ive been losing, but shrinking basically.... Now that the first 100 lbs are gone, is now when I will start to notice it more? What about the tummy pouch?? Is that the last to go? My pants are looser, but the roll?
I mean I can tell when some people drop 10 lbs..... In some of my pics, I dont look too much different because I have so much to lose. Ive lost 20 and not been able to tell from one pic to the next... I was thinking now that Im down so much, maybe now it will be more noticeable? Anyone out there have an Idea, or has this happened to you? Thanks in advance!!

It probably does already show, but your perception on yourself is distorted - I don't think anybody in the world sees themselves for how they really are.
I've just looked at your pictures and you look a lot thinner now :) You're much more shapely for a start. :)

Your weight loss definately shows. You are an apple so all your weight is in your midsection. Your limbs looked like they didnt hold much of the weight. I think you need to look at more side views and you will definately see the loss. I think your pictures are amazing and you've done some awsome work.
Is it possible that because you lost so quickly that your now seeing sagging skin and that is what is bothering you? Maybe you need to consider some cuircuit or weights to help build muscle and tone.
Remember, we are our own worst critics and judge ourselves accordingly. With that in mind, realize that others can see much clearer the changes in your body then you might see.

Thanks ladies... I do go to the gym daily, and I have a circuitthat I do in order to work all muscle groups.... I edited my original post a little, because Im more interested in, like you said, mid section... that ROLL.. does it ever go away.. I changed pants sizes yes, but they are SOOO LOOSE at the top of my back & weight, but they still fit me in the "hang belly". I hate having to buy the same or close to the same size pants so that the Hang belly doesnt look nasty tucked in tight pants.. Does this make sense?
It definitely shows! Congratulations! Your waist is clearly so much smaller than it was, and your arms and face are slimmer too!
At our size, 10 or 20 lbs doesn't show much (I've lost over 20 and nobody has noticed). And of course, since it's gradual you don't really see the difference yourself all that much, but fitting into a different size of clothes is a good indicator. However, over time it becomes more noticeable (like when you get to 100 lbs - wow!). It's hard because I've gone from "big" to "big" if you know what I mean, so people won't notice until I'm not "big" anymore. The same might apply to you, though I'd be shocked if no one noticed your 100 lbs - it's so evident!
As for the hang belly, wear the tighter pants but also a longer, slightly looser shirt that "skims" the pants without being tight-fitting. It'll balance out and you will look smaller.

Trish, you are doing great! You are a great motivation for me as we are similar in goal weight, height, and age.

Oh I know its clear Ive lost weight, I dont DENY THAT AT ALL!!!
But Im talking noticeable like.. People wanna see pic of my from when I was down 87lbs to now being down to 100 Lbs... I dont think there is that much of a difference if any? Sound weird/ Im being serious, not "JUST SAYING THAT" so That is what I was thinking. My brain is saying now that I have lost alot in my face, arms, and such, will it come off of the thighs (inner legs) and that Belly. As for the buy the tighter jeans? One they arent comfortable, and two, I dont think people that dress in clothes that are to tight to make them look thinner.. Look good? Those are the ones that get picked on? Am I wrong?

I understand what you are saying-I have Muffin Top phobia!!! I am always scared to wear the tight jeans and have the belly (well actually roll cuz it goes all the way around) flop over the top.
First, congrats on the 100lb weight loss. I can totally see the difference in your current pics. I have the same problem you do. I took pics of me at 320--which was already down 51lbs and then again at 288 which was a 32 lb difference. I can tell in my face, but that is about it. I can be so discouraging, but look at the big picture. Don't compare the 87 lbs to the 100 lbs...compare start to current.
Again, Congrats!
Again, Congrats!
Thanks kelly~~ A better way tolook at it... But I have been getting emails about how many sizes have you dropped losing all that weight.. The answer would surpise you.. NOT MANY!!!!! This is the issue they are having as well. So I am goingto start a thread about that here shorly, But I know the feeling of the 'Difference" in pics..... I only know it will be a matter of time before the weight loss really starts to show, and the next 10 lbs looks like a 20 lb loss!!!! WE CAN DO IT!!!!
i agree with k8ie...i saw ur pics, and u do look alot slimmer, and especially on the tummy too! as for the tummy roll, i don't know if the roll will completely go away, because it might be loose skin (which is definately fixable after u've reached your normal weight)...just continue losing weight and keep up the GREAT work!
I still weigh 260 lbs.. Its not like Im 175 worring about a roll. I still have a pouch, an unhealthy pouch, and Im still at an unhealthy weight. I ve seen loose skin. If your thin ( or ideal weight) and you have skin, then its just skin hanging not filled with fat. Mine still has plenty of fat in it. I am still a size 24.. NOT HEALTHY either. Im sure my pouch will slim down...... The problem I had, was I had a LARGE ROLL over my jeans.... now that is GONE! Its the lower roll that lays on the tops of your legs. Its almost NOT TOUCHING now, but Hopefully as I lose the next 10 lbs, it will be more noticeable in sizes...
Trisha--
From mid-thigh to waist is my biggest problem area (pear shaped me, ugh), and I've had problems with the lower abdomen that hundreds of reps of hundreds of ab workouts a day doesn't seem to solve. From around 180lbs to 150lbs I lost 7 inches from my waist, but only 1 inch each thigh :(. On the bright side, at least I lost something! I don't want that to be discouraging to you, but just throwing it out there that there can be some super stubborn areas that might not want to shrink as fast as others.
When I increase my cardio and vary the type of cardio workouts I do, it seems to help the most in my problem area. Not sure if you've tried that.
Good luck to you, you're such an inspiration!

Your pictures are really amazing. You don't even look like the same person. I also have problems with the belly fat - first place I gain and the last place I lose. You must be doing something right - you look terrific!
