E-mo or E-no
... Ok Im just gonna start off by already apologizing anyone i might offend..
Does anyone els think there is something wrong with this sudden wave of "emo"ness... I mean ok, I can understand style.. even some of the crazy ones.. all about expressing yourself! these days.. But when guys of the age 14-19 start stuffing them self into girl pants as a style. I mean come on call it what you want, but isnt that what a cross-dresser or a drag-queen is? I'll even admit that i have a pair of jeans that might make your average dude would might say " think those are a little tight?" But I have nothing that comes even close to what these guys are stuffing them self into... I almost consider this like morally incorrect... is anyone els bothered by this fad?

Just because they can doesn't mean they should...
What, guys wearing girls clothing? They TOTALLY should...and you'd be amazed how many of them take very little cajoling, in private at least!
Hmmm...I'd say that's a personal opinion. To each their own. But I did not choose my guy because he looked good in girls clothing. And I think I'd have a problem if he started trying to fit into my jeans.
Yeah, I know it's a personal opinion. Of course guys should wear whatever they want. Just this one with the "depressed people should just smile" and "it doesn't mean they should" is make me get my snark on, big time.
But yeah, it is hot.
So you agree everyone is allowed a personal opinion but when I say something that makes you "get your snark on" you bite back but you're allowed to make a statement like "yeah' it is hot"... I don't care if you fancy guys who look like girls quite frankly. Personally I don't need my man to look like a Duran Duran cast-off...
I don't have the time or the inclination to talk to you about what I feel about depression because you obviously didn't read my posts carefully enough and haven't bothered to take the time to understand what I was saying. You have paraphrased what I said and used it as a quote which is misleading and you have only tried to use it to turn this into a fight.
I don't see your logic here so just do as 'systemdrop' says and let the thread die Coffin.Critter.
Original Post by luthien_j:Well, first off, just because everyone's allowed a personal opinion, including you. HOWEVER, so that does not mean that no one is allowed to challenge or refute what you say. If you make blanket statements about whether or not people "should" do a certain thing, or callous, insensitive remarks regarding mental health issues, don't be surprised if others challenge you.So you agree everyone is allowed a personal opinion but when I say something that makes you "get your snark on" you bite back but you're allowed to make a statement like "yeah' it is hot"... Secondly, not only are you misguided about depression, you're misguided about how well I read your post about depression. Not only did I read it, if you look at #70 I addressed it, point by point.
You say you "don't see my logic" because judging from the lack of it you exhibit, you simply wouldn't recognize logic. Try learning about mental health issues before you make statements on them.
And I never do as anyone says. Nothing against systemdrop. But don't expect to say something, ORDER me to let the thread die, and expect no refutation.
i dont mind guys wearing girls clothes on a moral basis (after all, what is girls clothes and what is guys clothes is just a concept, its not like anything really depraved or harmfull to others.) but i do object on the grounds there girls jeans are cut fur girls... and therefore don't have the crotch room that you would think a guy would like...
didnt guys in the 80's get impotence problems in the 80's from wearing overly tight underpants (maybe thats just an urburn legend)?
thats the only objection i have. lol
