Easier to lose weight after taking a break?

After hitting a plateau I took a month long break. I stopped going to the gym and tracking my food, but did not gain any weight.

When I resume my weight loss plan, will the weight come off quickly or will it continue to stall?

It depends on your body. For some people it will work, and for some it didn't. But I heard it works from a couple of people I know :)

I can understand a break from diet and counting calories, but why would you stop going to the gym? that does not make sense to me, because you will lose fitness and muscle.... you will probably start losing again but going back will be harder having stopped the gym

its good to take breaks! Your body gets very used to what you are doing, whether it's eating OR working out. It finds the most efficient way to run itself...meaning it burns less cals when doing the same thigns if you've done them for a long time.

I tend to take week long breaks every now and again....usually every 3 months or so from the gym. I WOULD prob take breaks from eating well....except Id probably never start again! haha But I tend to zig zag anyway, so i think it's mixed up enough!

just log the cals, make good choices and hit the gym....you should see a loss!

I took a week-long break a last month because I was really sick with a sinus infection and strep throat so I couldn't really breathe and every time I would try to work out I would have a coughing fit.. so a whole week went by when I didn't work out and I still dropped weight that week
