Easter Candy Downfall

Quote  |  Reply

Of all the holidays, Easter totally has the best candy.  What's your absolute downfall?

I lust after Cadbury Creme Eggs and those horrible Brach's marshmallow eggs with the candy coating.  I can practically feel my teeth rot when I eat those things - good thing they're only available once a year!

I think any Reese's product taste better when they are shaped like eggs and bunnies!!

Just the jelly beans.  When my kids were little and I'd make up their Easter baskets, I always had to buy extra jelly beans because I'd keep eating them the whole time!

Peanut butter cup minis.

Oh Henry mini chocolate bars. You know, the ones shapes like eggs in Easter packaging.

Thank goodness I had the calories left yesterday because I ate the oh Henry and 3 mini peanut butter cups.

I was just telling someone that the Reese's eggs are significantly better than the regular cups.  Love them.

I am a big fan of the malted milk eggs and jellybeans.

I will be waiting for the day after when all the candy is like 75% off.

The cadbury mini eggs--the chocolate with the the candy shell.  Yum.

I've never seen the Easter O'Henry bars!  I feel deprived.  And the egg shaped Reese's is TOTALLY better than the cups - different peanut butter to chocolate ratio.

I've actually done pretty well this year.  Had one Cadbury egg, some Peeps, jelly beans...okay so I haven't done well at all...chocolate covered marshmallow bunnies...

The O Henry's came in a 4-pack with a marshmallow chocolate covered egg and and yes, a Reese Peanut Butter Egg. Walmart.

Going to Walmart soon- could be trouble.

Cadbury mini eggs

Easter eggs in general, my brain tells me anything chocolate egg shaped is a winner.

Ditto, daisybella.  I have a stash at work and at home.  This is the first year that I haven't eaten them uncontrollably.  Most days I allow myself at least 2 mini eggs (about 31 calories) so I don't feel like my life is totally sucking from void of Cadbury mini eggs.

I love Russell Stover's chocolate covered anything - maple cream, strawberry, vanilla, marshmallow filling. Aaaah. But alas, I must stop thinking about candy now, or I'll go insane!

Hershey Bunnies and Snicker eggs................YUM!!!!!

Cadbury eggs, oh yes!

And then jelly beans.

And every year my mom buys my brother and me our own Sayklly's fudge egg.  Something like 8 servings per egg and easily over 100 calories per serving.

cadbury creme egg!!!!!!!!!!

we have a local chocolate factory called "malley's" and they make these AMAZING peanut butter filled chocolate easter animals (lambs, bunnies, chicks).  omg.  and their chocolate easter bunnies are sooooo good.  the chocolate is so creamy.

resse's eggs amd cadbury carmel eggs!

Heaven's-to-betsy!  Why did I start this thread?  I'm trying to be really good this month and now I want to go to the drugstore and stock up on every kind of Easter candy imaginable!!!

i LOVE cadbury eggs and cadbury brand chocolate eggs with the candy coating...and anything reeses definitely tastes better as an egg or bunny!

cadbury eggs - any size (so far this season only have had 2!)

robin eggs - the bigger the better (had some last weekend on my cheat day!)

chocolate from Andy's Candies in rochester NY - handmade chocolates that are creamy & delicious - an Easter staple in our family for generations!

YUM - can't wait to eat my bunny!!! no more cheat days until Easter Sunday!

Reeses eggs! I also love those hollow bunnies. They are so much fun to bite into.

i absolutley LOVE Hot Cross Buns if i could marry a food it would be that.. hands down Kiss

Shhh. I always liked the toys better as a kid.

But my favorite had to be the chocolate bunny. I always eye them when I'm in the store, but I never buy them. -shrug- I can't bring myself to buy myself a chocolate bunny. Not because of the calories or anything, but I always thought that chocolate bunnies were meant to be given to other people, not to be bought for yourself.

Weird? Indeedz.

I also like my favorite candies: mini cups, regular chocolate bars, cadburry eggs.. But I dunno. Once I grew out of my kid years and into my adolescence, when you're not in a family with one steady religion or hardcore traditions, easter just kinda went off the radar. My parents love hitting the candy sale for their candy stash, though.. but nuthin' for us kiddos this year. -shrug-

mini eggs. they're my favorite chocolate-product of ALL times, and i wait all year for them to hit the shelves.. but once they do, i can't stop buying (and eating) bag after bag -_-
