Great another holiday with candy. I went to WM and bought my grandaughter her easter stuff I want to send her. This was Sunday. I already have one bag of jelly beans eaten and am starting to eyeball the chocolate easter bunny. I really have to get control of this sweet tooth. I didn't have one until I hit menapause. Any suggestions??????

I know I know!! I was at Coscto this weekend and saw that they already had out Whoppers "Robin Eggs" - oh nooooo!!! I;m trying to fight the urge to get any - especiallyl the Coscto Super Size:)
gobstoppers -- you can suck on them for a long time and i think 5 of them are 9 calories
Oh no! Don't eat the easter bunny (lol)............let him live a little while longer
I'm not much into easter candy except one things ...
Those reeces peanut butter eggs. Oh man, I love those ... gonna hafta avoid them like the plague this year. I'll hafta let the easter bunny know that I don't want ANY candy this year. Maybe a charm or two to go on my bracelet instead ...
ANY kind of chocolate covered easter eggs! reeses...coconut... cadbury creme eggs.... they're such a perfect little shape. so innocent-looking...
Y'all are cracking me up.  I'm not a sweets-craver (salt's my bliss) but whoooooboy my husband can flatten a bag of M&Ms or Jelly Bellies in about 2 seconds.  Because I'm not too tempted by them, I've always liked to keep seasonal candies in pretty glass and porcelain bowls, scattered around the house for guests.  But...I started noticing that these little caches would be empty in, like, a day...finally, he just demanded that I not buy them at all, because he has zero control!  Bless his heart.  So I guess the answer is, "you can't eat it if it ain't around."  Don't bring the stuff home!
Im slappy and Im an addict!!!!!  I am and have always been addicted to Cadbury eggs- love them to death!  I saw them yesterday at the store and I didnt get one.  Had no calorie info on them!  I was craving choc too!  I had not had any lunch, I was bad I grabbed a snickers!!!! I wanted the cadbury egg but I wasnt sure about the calories, fat and all that!  I have to say it was my first candy bar in 2 months and OH MY GOSH IT was the best snickers ever!  I gave the kids each a bite so I didnt eat it all and it was only reg. size.
Does anyone know the nutritional value in cadbury eggs?
one cadbury creme egg

Total Calories 170   Calories from Fat 50 Total Fat 6 g 9%      Saturated Fat 3.5 g 18%      Trans Fat 0 g   Cholesterol less than 5 mg 1%    Sodium 25 mg 1%    Total Carbohydrate 28 g 9%      Dietary Fiber 0 g 0%      Sugars 25 g   Protein 2 g
ok so I found that info and Now I realize it would have been better to eat that than the Dang snickers!!!!!!! DANG IT!
that's increadibly high and sooo not worth it. lol

Slappy, now that you know the calories and nutrition info on that cadbury egg, would you have picked it up?  or will you if you see it again?
it's ALWAYS that way.  think you're making a good choice, and then you're WRONG.  i would have guessed the snickers as being worse b/c of the peanuts (vs. just straight up sugar).  but at least you got SOME nutrition from them.  i'm guessing the snicker eggs are better than the reg. size.
thats true, I didnt think about a snickers egg.  I wished I had grabbed the creme egg instead since it was what I really wanted.  Sometimes you have to give in some.  Im not going to deny myself of something small every now and then.  This has been a lifestyle change for me so something Sweet & bad every once in a while then no biggie.  IF I was considering it a diet I wouldnt have got it and I would be miserable.  I see it as, I had a candy bar, I did extra exercise yesterday because of it, craving gone.  If I hadnt got it, I would probably still be craving it and be worse and eat more than what I did.  Does that make since?  I would have gone for a king size the next time!  I wanted a Mt Dew too but I resisted that.  I know if I drink one Mtdew- Im doomed.  so that was a big accomplishment.  Why do we get these cravings when we step out of the house???
I do want to say also. I added the calories to my day and stay under for the day.
about the easter candy, i know! i went to rite aid last night and they had cadbury mini eggs (my favorite) buy one get one free. so i got two bags, one for the boyfriend (he's a bottom-less pit, i don't think i could put weight on him if i feed him all day) anyway, i expect he'll have finished off the bag by this evening, and i took the other one to work. so far this morning i've had exactly one serving (12 eggs, 190 cal.) and i'm not really planning on having another one, but i won't beat myself up if i do. i'm going to be 'responsible' about this, rather than indulgent. i had my serving, i'll have to wait until tomorrow for another. here's hoping!
Please, please, keep the marshmallow chicks away from me!  I like them to get a little hard so they're crunchy on the outside.  Bad! Bad! Bad!  I mean, it's not even good candy!
Oooooh, PEEPS!
I love the Easter candy also. So what do I do? I got a bag of butterfinger eggs ( very small they are).  A serving is 5 at 210 cal. Very bad I know. However I have only one, 42 cals ( still very bad I know).  Only when I just can not stand it any longer.  The bag has been at the house for over 2 wks. I think I have ate about 5 or so. The next candy I will get is the sugar free york peppermints.
