(i will be 140, which is my ideal weight.) well anyways i walk on the treadmill everyday and the weight comes off...but i get so bored that it takes 30 minutes of self persuasion to do it. i dont have a gym membership but i would love some advice on any at home exercises!

It is so much fun and you can push as hard or go as easy as you want : )

Walk outside...it's summer so go an enjoy it. Do you have anyone to play tennis with?
I have been riding my bike. I don't take the same route each time, so that makes it more interesting. Also walking outside with my dog.
thanks. i really have no clue how to play tennis but i guess i could always go for a bike ride. i guess outside activities are always good
Nothing wrong with home indoor exercise. Get a fun DVD workout and you are set even in the dead of winter and snow storm. :)
Swimming - hiking - bike riding- walking/ jogging/ running - jump rope
go to your library and check out some workout dvd's and if you find some you like purchase them at walmart or online.
I have to watch tv while I do my home elliptical.
You might also check with your local community college. Our college offers courses in the summer I do weights and a cardio class. It is so much cheaper than a gym membership.

Rock climbing does it for me. I have a membership at a local place with a wall and I just go and climb to my heart's content. It's really amazing how fun it is. It's challenging, too, but in an enjoyable way. Your body naturally wants to go up, and I'm pretty sure that the wall laughs at you, so it can be really motivating to keep going until you get to the top. Just do yourself a favor (I had to learn this the hard way) . . . TAKE BREAKS between climbs. If you have to start over, rest for a minute. It doesn't seem like a big deal at the time because you're focusing on how to get up the wall and not your body, but you'll feel it hardcore the next day if you don't. The first time I went climbing, I WAAAAAAY overdid it and could barely hold a pen the next day. Ha ha ha. It was totally worth it, though.

I love to rock climb too! ANything like climbing that challenges your mid will keep boredom from setting in. At the gym they change the climbing routes occaissionally so most times you will have something new to work on...
Don't be bored! ( :
I am the same way! I used to hate exercising, telling myself I was too tired, I would do it tomorrow, it looked like it was going to rain, etc, but I'm over it. It's just dumb to talk to yourself that way, and I am tired of being "thick."
Here's whatI did, and so far, I have not gotten bored. Do you have anyone you could work out with? That helos a lot--no excuses if someone is waiting on you, ya know? I got an arm band radio for $10--maybe you have an mp3 player or something? I told myself I'd walk/work out doing whatever for 20 songs---20 songs at about 3 minutes each = 1 hour. That dang radio has been awesome! I am much more motivated to keep going with good tunes and an end in sight. Walking gets kind of boring, but I try to change up the routes and the time of day, os the scenery is always new--same thing with the bike riding someone else mentioned. I also got one of those crazy, bouncy, fitness balls, laughing inside the whole time, thinking it would be dumb, but I love it! Who knew? It;s fun and a really good work out. You can do all sorts of stuff on it for your muscles, but I also made it cardio, but finding my balance (abs), bouncing good, and boxing with hand weights. I';m all sweaty after a few minutes and it;s fun too. Plus I can watch tv while I do it--rockin'. I got some stretchy, fitness bands too, and those work the same, exact muscles as my hand weights, but using the bands feels different, so I can work the same muscles a little longer, doesn;t feel like it;s worn out, etc.
I didn't mean to write a book, but I did want to try and help as I am totally the same way---I could NOT walk on a treadmill, BORING! Good luck! You can do it ( :

i know the treadmill is super boring i usually run for 25 min every other day and i absolutely hate it so i moved my tv in there so now i can just zone out and watch tv while running.
yoga!! its so fun, join a class with a friend or buy sessions online, although if you dont have some experience already the online ones are hard to understand. but the first time you do it its so fun and relaxing, the next you'll be super sore cuz its also a good muscle exercise!
