Okay, so i run for 65 minutes on the elliptical machines and it says i am running at 82 speed... whatever that is, and usually burn around 750. but this seams too easy for me now, when i get off, i feel like i could have kept going for another hour. does anyone else feel this way or have suggestions for me? thanks a bunch! :P
Try increasing the resistance.
Increase your resistance to say 55-65 perecent... it pointless motion if you dont have any resistance... I cant do more then 45 minutes, because I always have it on level 13 (1-20)
More TOTAL calories are burned when the intensity of the workout is raised even with a decreased time of exercising. So either manipulating the resistance or increasing the speed will be a better option. So maybe something like 30 minutes at the fastest possible speed. Dont dwell on the calories burned during the workout, because as long as the intensity is high enough then the metabolic rate will be raised leading you to be burning calories from one workout continuosly fom 2-24 hours after!! But this only occurs if the workout is hard enough. 2 hours of slow jogging may burn moree calories during the exercise time, but a harder/faster 1 hour run will be burning more for hours after.
