Easy low fat/high protein brownie recipe
So I came across a simple "brownie" recipe on a bodybuilding site:
In a bowl add 1 scoop protein powder
Tsp of baking powder
water to moisten
microwave for 1 minute
The nutritional stats would be whatever the protein powder is. Many people said it's really good, I'm going to try it today, I just need to buy some chocolate protein first, I doubt it would taste very good with my Tropical Punch ![]()

I do this - it's not what I would claim as a brownie, but it is something different with protein. For me, the outcome varies significantly depending on the amount of liquid I use. Also, I wasn't able to get it to work with casein protein powder (though it may have been the brand). Good luck!!
Let us know how it goes! :)
It was pretty spongy tasting, I don't think I added enough water, but for what it is, it was alright. Pretty big too.
I just tried this with chocolate whey protein powder and it was o.k.... not great. I found that the baking powder's savory taste overpowers the mild sweetness of my protein powder.
I did it in an oven... It puffed up really big but deflated completely. The only way in which it resembles a brownie is the crust that forms.. I still ate it and added some fresh raspberries to it.
I was also going to try to make something similar with vanilla soy powder but after trying it, I've reconsidered.. =)
Hmmmm... I think I may have added too much water...
Tried it again, added more water and reduced the microwave time to 45 sec, it was better, still a little dry, I guess I still need more water. I agree that the baking powder kinda over powers the protein flavour, next time I'm going to add some chocolate stevia powder and see if that helps.
Try adding a beaten egg white to bind it and make it lighter. I can't see how this recipe would work because there is nothing to give structure to a brownie-like product.
I made it again, this time I added the choc stevia, and PB2, it was much better!
Umneydurak I bought it from http://www.thelowcarbgrocery.com/catalog/prod uct_info.php?cPath=132_200_289&products_i d=1608 I believe they only ship within Canada though.
