Easy vegetarian sandwich ideas?

Quote  |  Reply

I've recently decided to become a veggie permanently. I'll still eat eggs and dairy but no meat, seafood or poultry.

I often pack my lunches so I eat sandwiches a lot.My favourite sandwich ideas include:1. honey+peanut butter 2. Peanut butter+ jelly 3. cream cheese +Jelly and 4. grilled cheese. And of course I LOVE making morningstar burgers/ chik patties. ANybody else have some tasty ideas that they love?

i dont know what your storage condition is like for your lunches but when i was packing mine to prevent mooshie bread by lunch time i usually put all the yummy veggies in a separate Tupperware. my favorite sandwich ever is either just a plain tomato sandwich ( tomato salt pepper and a little bit of mayo) tomato and asparagus ( kinda like a club but with the middle layer containing canned (yes i know it sounds disgusting but i ts sooo good) asparagus and the other two just tomato and than any variation of sprouts + avocado + tomato = yuuummmm <3 im also fortunate enough to get whole grain wheat bread made daily in the bakery right next door <3 good bread makes any sandwich a billion times better

cucumbers and butter cheese and tomato pickles, peppers, lettuce and mayo egg salad
Check out this thread which despite the title is mostly about sandwiches.

Good luck, I survive on sandwiches too!

PS: etoille, you don't happen to like tomatoes by any chance? (wink)

I love hummus. I do it myself.

If you want to try it put in the food processor

chickpeas (from the can are ok)

1 lemon juice

1 Tsp oil (extra vergin olive oil)

parsley

1 clove garlic

tabasco sauce (to taste)

salt and pepper

0.5 tsp ground cumin

warm water

blend until very smooth, very high in proteins!

Ciao, Cicia.
