....and still realistically lose weight if I keep under 700-1,000 my BMR?

Because it doesn't seem to quite make sense...

Sure, you can spend 220 calories a day on chocolate, as long as you're keeping a calorie deficit. You might be hungrier than if you spent those calories on veggies or protein or fiber, but you can certainly lose weight if you eat less than you burn.

And just to be clear, your BMR is not the same as your total calories burned per day. Your BMR is what your body would burn if you were in a coma--i.e. it just runs your organs.

definately!!!

I save 240 calories most days for ice cream ...losing weight consistently. EVERYTHING in moderation :)

i would like to point out the fact that she said keep under her bmr of 700-1000 NO ONE SHOULD EAT THAT LITTLE...YOU'RE KILLING YOURSELF!!! sorry to be blunt but under 1200 calories is asking for your body to shut down and conserve every morsel of energy because that is starvation...literally. 1200 is the bare minimum unless you are  a decrepit, sedentary, old person or someone who is under the supervision of a medical doctor. you need to eat...if you had a chocolate bar for 220 that would be 25% of your calories if you ate only 1000 and that would definitely leave you even more malnourished than you already are. so...the answer is no and increase your calorie intake because it is extremely unhealthy!!

i just realized your post could be referring to a 700-1000 calorie deficit which i hope is what you meant and not a 700-1000 calorie intake. if it is the former and not the latter then ignore my rant but if you are eating 700-100 calories you are doing severe damage!

yeah chrissy19888, i did mean defiicit, i obviously didnt explain it properly in my post!

Yes, as everyone said as long as you keep to your calorie allowance. I always leave calories for chocolate, just a pointer though: I usually leave it until last thing at night, or late evening. I find that if you eat it early on it leaves you hungry throughout the day as it uses up such a large portion of your calories. I see it as a reward for being good all day, and for saving my calories for it! Goodluck!

I don't know if it's a specific chocolate bar youre thinking of but I have a special k meal bar everyday for breakfast.  Today it was a chocolate on chocolate bar :p  They're good because they're chocolate plus they have a descent amount of protein and fiber in them
