I eat too many carbs!
Does anyone have suggestions/ideas for meals that are low on carbs.
I am not interested in a no-carb diet, but by the time I eat my lunch today...the majority of the food that I have consumed for the day will be carbs!
Does anyone else have this problem!

I do the same thing...fruit and bread are my staples
if you add some nuts, some yogurt, peanut butter, etc. you'll get more protein :-) Most nutrition bars (balance and zone esp.) have a good mix of protein, fat, and carbs if you're into eating those

You can include eggs or egg whites, small cans of tuna or chicken, chick peas and such in your salads for extra protein.
I'm gonna try what I've been reading lately that every meal should include some protein to keep you full and improve weight loss.

Try this website's create a meal - they suggest protein at each meal and help you find meals you like to eat.

replacing a peice of bread with a La Tortilla Factory tortilla really helps. :) the whole thing is only 50 cals and they're really yummy.
I always start the day with scrambled protein goodness:
1 oz slice of turkey breast, 1 egg white, and 1/4 cup fat free cottage cheese, add some pepper and season all and it's tasty good!!
This, in combo with other protein throughout the day (tuna in my salad and chicken at dinner) really gives me a good boost

Fantastic.
Thanks for the suggestions, much appreciated.

I love carbs too....but here's what I do in a day, when I'm trying to keep the carbs low.
Breakfast:
1/2 c. Egg Beaters & Spelt Whole Grain Tortilla with a slice of Soy Cheese...roll it up like a burrito. Pretty low on Carbs ..or you could do a cup of oatmeal w/ some raisins and one boiled egg.
Snack - Celery & Peanut Butter
Lunch:
Tuna, Nova (Salmon) or Grilled Chicken Breast with a Spinach Salad usually I use Balsamic and some croutons...I need some bread
Snack - 1 Cup Strawberries w/Splenda -- the sugar in the berries helps me avoid carbs
Dinner - Chicken or Lean Pork Loin grilled with asparagus, grilled tomatoe slices (thick) and 1/2 c. of brown rice
It's pretty low carb....just make sure at each meal you eat some protein and veggies
