Can you eat chocolate and still lose weight?
I know this is a dumb question BUT if you are within your calories and at around like 30 grams of fat then a couple of pieces of Dove is okay right?
But then I am thinking why not have a hamburger which is a couple of hundred calories if your under your calories...but I know if you do that you wont lose weight...
so im lost. im pretty good with meals. healthy breakfast, lunch, light dinner. But sometimes i just need some choc...
I have 20 grams of chocolate just about every day because it is my necessary evil and I am still losing weight! Its about moderation and provided you aren't eating lows of high fat, high sugar foods, 20 grams doesn't hurt when built into your daily allowance!

OMG I eat Dove chocolate every single day..no lie. And I've lost 15lbs!! So yes, you can eat chocolate everyday and lose weight. I eat 2-3 pieces, no more than that in a day. But I must have my Dove!
Ditto! Two pieces - I factor in the calories into my daily allowance. It is just enough to satisfy that sweet craving. Deny yourself and you are headed for trouble!
Besides, who says chocolate is bad for you? In large quantities yes, but small doses can be beneficial.
The key to most everything in life is MODERATION!
I know it's a couple of days old but thought I would support the other posters who mentioned dark chocolate. I highly suggest trying dark chocolate of 70% or higher. Yes, it will taste different at first if you are only used to eating milk chocolate but believe me, once you get past that and focus on the amazing taste, a square (10 grams) will be more than you need to kill a mad choc craving.. I absolutely love Lindt's 85% .. it's heaven!
I'm SO PLEASED to see this thread. I've cut out chocolate for the past couple of months. But I LOVE my Lindt extra-dark truffles! After reading that people are eating chocolate and STILL losing weight, I think I'll add a truffle or two in every few days...especially if I'm feeling "down". THANKS folks!
