What happened with the player who almost got his neck broken?  I don't really follow sports.
PS rugby is sort of like american football.

He was tackled and turned upside down then his head driven at the ground. Looked pretty nasty, but like a man he got up and carried on

Rugby is like American Football on steroids, minus some of the protective gear  :D... I know... it's only rivalled in insanity by Australian Football, IMO.  I was just trying to be a smart aleck.

Try all of the protective gear except a gumshield and MAYBE a material cap to stop "cauliflower ears"

(well and a box to protect the vitals and i think some shin guards)

He was very lucky, hopefull he gets a full check up after the game, sometimes adrenaline will make you get through a lot.

Well the first 1/4 of the game every couple of mins a US player was on the floor complaining of some injury. Pathetic! Rugby is for men who don't mind losing teeth and ruining their ears!

OK  so the USA lost to England - but it was not a flattering scoreline for the World Cup holders was it?

Look at what New Zealand and Australia did against their respective sides - thats what you call a good scoreline.

Well done to the USA for doing so good - i only hope that Wales (where i come from) can do ok against Canada - but best of luck to both sides.
