How much should I eat when I don't exercise?
I usually exercise about 4-5 times a week and burn 800-1000 calories per session. I usually eat about 1400-1600 on days when I exercise, but I am not sure if I should eat less on days when I don't exercise. Should I lower my intake to 1200 because I am not burning as much calories as I usually do?
No, lowering the amount you intake will only cause yuor body get confused. Actually, the average person should eat 2000 calories everyday and exercise 5 times a week to be at an accurate weight. If yuo change the amount of calories you intake yuor body will keep changing the amount it burns daily. Basiclly.... your body will go all out-of-wak !
Wow what sort of exercise are you doing to burn 1000 calories a day?
Be careful of what the machine says you are burning...usually over estimated!

I usually use the arc trainer. The machine says I burn 1000 calories in a hour but I don't believe that so I usually do about 20 minutes of cardio on another machine... then I life weights. I am guessing I burn about 800-1000 calories at the gym, but that is only a rough estimate.
Thanks for all the advice squeaky!!

I was going to ask you the same thing. What machines do you use that u burn bet. 800-1000 per session. I am in the gym as well bet 5-6 times a week. However, according to the cardio machines and I do several of them for about 20mins each. In their estimate I burn at least 400 calories per session, not counting the toning machines. I am just curious to know how long would I have to be in the gym and what specific machinary I can use to burn off calories as yourself. I work 10 hrs a day, and I am in the gym for another 2.5 hrs; however on an avg I consume 1000 calories a day.
