what to eat before an early morning workout?
I usually get up at about 6:30 and try to hit the gym by 7:30......if I don't eat anything, I get dizzy....but anything too heavy gives me cramps! Any suggestions? A tiny glass of OJ and handful of almonds is what I usually do but wonder if there is something better with less calories/sugar.....

A small bowl of oatmeal is good and less sugar but a little sugar is good for you in the morning. I personally don't eat before, I eat right after the gym.
Have a banana.
ok - not an oatmeal fan (but I know it is good for me so maybe I will try it!).....but I can do the banana :)
I like to eat a banana and one of those yoplait light yogurts about 20 minutes before I work out.
Okay, I usually don't eat before a workout, but I know that I need to. I hate banana's and oatmeal is too heavy - any other suggestions??? I am talking Sat/Sun. mornings because I workout after work on the weekdays!
I get up at 6:30 and am on my elliptical trainer at 6:45. I don't eat anything before, which really works for me.
I was just wondering what you think might be a good meal to eat before you workout in the morning?
If I work out in the morning I usually eat a small bowl of cereal, protein shake, oatmeal w/banana or raisins, or a piece of fruit. If it's on the weekends I'll eat scrambled eggs or a bran muffin. I try not to eat something too heavy but something heavy enough to hold me over. Hope this helps.
