Just wondering if i should stick with the diet or should i have a few bites of what i love. What are you going to do???
Plan your food for the day to include a few bites of what you love (be sure to log it), and enjoy yourself!
I'm not dieting. I've simply changed my way of eating to make sure I have healthy eating habits that I can apply each day for the rest of my life.
So I'll eat what I normally eat.

It's an off day for sure! My MIL is cooking a huge dinner, and no way am I passing on that! And since it's a Sunday, I work out so well Monday through Thursdays that I can hopefully make up for it the following week. Yum, just thinking about it is making me salivate. LOL!
If you plan on having ham, just remember it has a lot of sodium. a serving size of meat is about the size of a deck of cards. As long as you watch what you eat, you should be fine. Also, if you can, try using a smaller plate (a salad plate) and it will look fuller with a smaller amount than a regular size plate
Early Happy Easter! :)
Early Happy Easter! :)
im gonna work my chocolate calories into my calorie allowance.
im not gonna go over what i normally have in calories.
i just hope my mum isnt planning on making a sunday roast =S

I think I am taking the day off also. We are going to see our son and we are eating at a restaurant that hosts a very upscale buffet every Easter. I'm paying over $35.00 a head. For that price I'm not limiting myself to salad and veggies. I'll jump back on board on Monday.
Ham and cheesy potatoes. Oh yeah, and creamed onions. It is a holiday, and they are treats I pretty much get once a year so i don't feel bad at all.
(Except that my birthday is the following day in which I also planned to indulge, so I may have to chose.)

I forgot. I did tell the kids no Easter baskets this year. (Now, my kids are 17 & 19 - so don't think I am the grinch of Easter lol) Son was fine because he has given up all junk food. Daughter said "Does that mean I get money instead?" Gotta love the teen years: ) So once I leave the restaurant my temptation is over.
I don't plan on fixing Easter dinner, All My family live in Va, So I am going to stick with my diet. I'm going to stick with eating my healthy foods!
I will have small portions of whatever I want...twice baked potatoes...that's all I know for sure I am making. I am having ham too...dh loves it...I just like it so it isn't a huge temptaion for me. Thinking of getting a chicken too since i like it better....
I'm going to eat whatever I am comfortable eating. Of course I will totally watch my portions :) And I may have a recees peanutbutter egg, but note that I will log everything, even if i dont want to see that number. :)

It's a major holiday for me (my big ones are Christmas, Easter, My Birthday, July 4th, and Halloween just for candy) so I just go all out, might as well since I'm at maintenance now anyways...
I plan on eating lots of everything, pierogi, kielbasa, pasta pie, deviled eggs, ham, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, rolls, dessert, and all the candy in my Easter basket... it's one day, so why not. You need to enjoy life sometimes... =)

I'm going to be at my folks house, and will have no control over the menu. I'm simply going to make the best choices I can, and not use the holiday as an excuse to over eat. Sure, my calories may be high for a day, but one high day won't kill me.
Im pretty much eating normal... veggies mainly. Im cooking this year, since theres an exam the next day Im holding a study group/ Easter dinner. Im making turnip, mashed or whipped potatoes, corn, carrots, peas and I am going to buy a roast chicken for my non veg friends. And I am going to either bake a cake or buy a cheesecake at the grocery store :) and Im gonna enjoy a big slice with a large cup of coffee. mmm. After exams are done and I go visit my parents Im sure there will be loads of chocolate waiting for me
I advise you to not diet, but don't stuff yourself so full you feel sick either.

I thought I would cook lower calorie foods for everyone, they won't even know the difference.
im making that my cheat day for the month. family is coming down so there is bound to be a lot of high calorie, fattening food....you should see my family.
I hear you ashleypayne, my family lives far away from me too. I will probably have a jennie-o turkey loaf and some cranberries.
Edit: Not the whole loaf of course.
