what to eat before exercise
Hopefully this is in the right fourm.
I fence 3 days a week and on those days I eat a normal breakfast and lunch, but I leave my dorm at 5:45 -- which is just before I would normally have dinner. I don't like to eat a lot before I excercise, but I also want to eat something small, but effective, and then have a more dinnerish thing afterwards.
I used to just not eat dinner, but now since I have started a healthy lifestyle I realize this just won't cut it.
I was thinking maybe an energy bar and a banana, but I just don't know...
I want to feel full, but not sluggish. Any suggestions are appreciated.

half of a bagel and 8 ounces of gatorade. Thats what i would eat before my wrestling matches, great energy booster and will leave you feeling full and energized.
Try some energy drinks, but they may not give you that full feeling, you will have the right nutrients though.
I usually eat a banana before my workout. It has plenty of carbs for the added energy. then after the workout I have a protein shake then about an hour later I will have my main meal.... I bet if you do have a banana and energy bar, you will have tons of energy.....
I eat the Kashi "hot cereal with clusters" oatmeal about an hour before my dance classes.
It gives me energy and keeps me full long enough to get home and make a healthy diner.
