I am going out to eat with my husband tonight and I am wanting to be good.  The restaurant is called Blackwoods and they have a fire grill.  They serve pasta, pizza, fish, chops and chicken.  I used to really like their stuffed pork chops that comes with wild rice or mashed potatoes.  Does anyone have any ideas.  I will also have a couple of drinks.  I prefer Bacardi diets, are these okay?

Seafood is (almost) always a safe choice... Maybe with a side of rice or steamed broccoli (no butter) if they have it...
Dont know about bacardi diet - check the net. Its still alcohol, so it still has some cals. I'd say buy one and a sprite zero. Have most of the spirte zero, and leave some int he bottom. Add some bacardi. If it tastes watered down, then dont bother, just alternate between one alcoholic and a water/soft-drink, but if it tastes ok, then yoy spread out the flvaour. (I'm not ad rinker so this may bea  lame idea, I donno)

A fire grill... does that mean you cook it yourself? If so, bring some foil (they prolly have some there) and grill a piece of fish, squirt a bit of lemon in and some pepper. low-cal and yummo. In terms of sides, prolly avoid the mashed tatoes - they'd be filled of cream/butter/cals. Wild rice sounds ok. Just watch portions - check before you go on the database.

My plan woudl be to go to the gym and hit the elyptical for as long as you can and burn, baby, burn. Normal, low-GI brekkie, skip your morning tea, have a salad with some low-cal protein for lunch, lots of water during the arvo, or some sugar free jelly if you are hungry ( no point being starving all arvo!) go in, have a drink, order a side salad with your meal and enjoy yourself. If you go over cals, big deal, dont do it again. try and make "smart" choices - avoid butter/crumbs, cheese, but still have some fun!! Shrimp is yummy and low cal. Maybe get a pasta and dont eat all the pasta (restuarnts serve HUGE portions) or get an entree meal, with a side salad and have dessert. But if the dessert all looks iffy, just go home and have something like lite ice-cream and fruit, or a weight watchers dessert
Thanks red_herring.  I did end up having the stuffed pork chop, but had wild rice instead of potatoes.  Do you know is cornbread bad for you?  I had some of that too.  I did work out today.  I did 1 hour on the eliptical-700 calories burned and 1 hour on the treadmill-500 calories burned.  I also lifted weights.  I usually do not go workout on Sundays, but I think I will tomorrow to make sure I do not obsess about my intake today.  I actually do not feel guilty at all!
I think EVERYTHING is bad for you. In the wrong amount. Cornbraed... we dont have that in australia, but its a grain, so I thought it would be ok (as long as its not oil soaked)
Wow, really busy workout! I so cannot burn more than 600 cals per exercise. Then again i am little and it takes more time for me to burn

You shoudlnt feel guilty!! :) You're allowed to treat yourself!
Look at going to the gym on Sunday as more of a positive health thing than a punishment for last ngiht. Think of the energy it'll give you and will keeping everything flowing and going

I'm glad you had the pork. i think people take cal counting too seriously. usually I give 'advice' down the safest route - low cal, healthy, but tehre is nothing wrong with having your fav foods now and aagin. Man, I'm into the ice-cream all the time :D
I love ice cream too!  I ended up going to the gym today and burned what I did yesterday.  I feel good and was able to eat some steak and banana cream pie for Mother's Day!
