Do you eat more, or less when you're happy?
I have found that I eat waaaaay less. My best friend eats more.
I eat less. :) when I am depressed, I eat more.
Ha Ha...I have to agree with Safina. When I'm happy, I don't have pressure or anything on me I eat as I'm supposed to. When I'm depressed there's always those urges to binge.
However, if I'm nerved up over something then it makes it very hard to eat. I usually do..but it's hard.
Way more. Too much more. More than I should for the amount of calories I burn. :D
I wonder how many calories unfettered joy burns?
I eat more definitely on bad days. Not really sure how I do when I'm happy. Probably less because I am doing things, already in a good mood...I dunno, actually. My husband causes me to eat more on bad days as well--he is the one going, Oh, today was horrible, I could really go for a burger and a shake (this is his fix-it). Mine is a bag of chips. I now restrict it to a 99 cent bag and only one the weekend. I can DEMOLISH a big bag of chips within in 24 hours...it's a running joke in our house. No chips are safe. (Okay, well I don't like Original and some other flavors, but you know)
I eat more when I am happy. When I am sad/depressed I never eat because it makes me sick and I want to throw up.
I am happy most of the time so Im always eating lots :)
It depends on if I'm really-happy, or just happy-but-bored. If I'm bored, and I'm at home (or near a store and have enough spare money on me) then I might eat. I probably won't overindulge as much as I would if I was unhappy, but unless I'm really preoccupied (regardless of happiness/unhappiness) I'm more likely to eat more than usual.
I eat so much more when I'm happy and excited! Social settings with friends and family when the mood is upbeat and there are lots of goodies around are the worst situations for me! Doesn't help that I am a naturally happy and excited person either! I'm not complaining about that...but it certainly doesn't help the waistline! :-P
I eat more when I'm happy. Usually when I'm happy I'm doing happy things and not watching everything I eat as close I should. :P

Perhaps thats why my sister once told me to never get to comfortable in life. If you do, you don't watch what you eat...etc. I don't know, everyone is different.

I believe there is a link between depression and obesity. the more you get depressed and feeling hopeless, the more you eat. some people use overeating as a coping mechanism.
when I am " sad ", I don't eat that much.
depression = feeling hopeless.
Sad= feeling unhappy because of a loss.
Less, alot less.......... which is why I am down to 111 pounds. Even I think its too skinny since I am 5'4. But I am SO stressed/unhappy at my job (I am an accountant) that if I eat I feel like I will throw up. Like I have stomach ulcers or something because I hurt.........whatever I'll be fine when I can decide on a new career path (venting). Just not sure what to do with a BBA in Accounting besides accounting................................... ..
I just eat. If I am happy, I eat to celebrate. If I am unhappy, I eat to console.
However it is easier to turn food away when I am unhappy. I think because withholding food is a form of punishment to myself and/or it makes me feel more in control of a bad situation.
