can you eat only chocolate.....
A few of us were discussing, say your calorie target is 1500 a day to lose weight and you ate 1500 calories worth of chocolate bars or candy or whatever, would you still lose weight? Even though there is so much fat and sugar in there?
( I am not planning this, I know it's not healthy, just curious)
You would probably turn into a chocolate bar, and melt when it was sunny.
Or end up being too sick to eat the next day. I imagine you would still lose weight, but all I can think of is how bad my stomach would feel.
Technically yes, you'd still lose weight on 1500 cals of chocolate (or of any other food for that matter.) 1500 cals of milk chocolate is about 280g or 10oz and the 144g sugar it contains might mean you retained some fluid... that would offset things somewhat. And sugar tends to whistle through the system very quickly leaving people very hungry and irritable!! The phrase 'skinny bitch' might have been created for followers of the 'Chocolate Diet'

lol
One thought - just because you take in the same number of calories, doesn't mean you'd burn the same amount - if eating 1500 in chocolate makes you lethargic (I can't imagine wanting to go for a run, or even out of bed) you are going to not burn as much as you would eating a more balanced diet.
It probably works on the smaller scale too (the thermal effect of food).
I would have to go against the grain on this one and say no. Not only would you be diabetic in no time, the high levels of refined sugar that commercial chocolate bars are made of cause all sorts of problems with your insulin and hormone levels even if you aren't diabetic which would prevent you from losing weight.

Great answer.
No, I think you should try this. Do it for a week, report out next Monday. This should cure you of your desire for chocolate.

Seriously, the thought of nothing but chocolate actually makes me feel a little queasy.
Yes you would still lose if you did that but I bet you'd probably want something else. I would.
