when you eat pizza ....
I know that just about everyone loves pizza now and then... when you have pizza what do you like... is there a certian place you get it from or do you make your own...? What do you put on a pizza...?
My favorite is Papa Murphy's Herb Chicken Mediterranean Delite... Yum - o and as far as I can tell pretty healthy for pizza that is...
I loveeee pizza, so I have to try to find ways to make it low cal.
You can always make your own pizza with low fat cheese and whole wheat pita, but most of the time I just order mine. I will get thin crust to cut calories and either canadian bacon and pineapple or mushrooms! yummy! makes me want some!
Has anyone tried Papa Johns new whole wheat crust? I have to admit I was intrigued by the commercial. I wonder if the calorie content is a lot better than regular..
I loooooove black olives and mushrooms! We always order from Little Caesar's, and I always dab my pizza down with a napkin to remove some grease. Then I rip the cheese off of the side and pointy part because it's not necessary to eat it.
I've never tried the whole wheat crust! But it sounds good! I love wheat bread, wheat anything.
the same pizza place makes amazing thin crust pizza, with tomato & broccoli it's DELICIOUS. ahh I haven't had it in so long and now I'm really craving it! domino's thin crust is good as well.
but honestly, I'm a pizza crust person. I could throw out the rest of a slice and just eat the crust, with the little bits of cheese and sauce on it. everyone knows to give me their crust if they don't want it, lol. and I think pizza hut has the best crust.
PAPA JOHNS PEPPERONI!
Now I'm craving some Giordano's stuffed cheese.....
And I've got some decent coupons right now, too.
I cut a small up into 8 wedges, each of which is right around 420 calories (yes, a whole small Giordano's pizza is well over 3000 calories - three pounds of pizza - potentially a 9" diameter binge). And into the freezer they go. One piece makes a lunch. I thaw in the fridge, then reheat in the microwave, then top with hot pepper sprinkles, fresh basil and tomato slices.
Too bad Lou Malnati's doesn't have coupons. One sixth of their small buttercrust deep dish is only 350 calories.
I have pizza fairly often. There's a neighborhood pizzeria that is THE best. I generally order a 12" thin crust, cheese pizza. The past couple of times, I've cut off the outer crust, then weigh a slice; it's usually two to two and a half ounces. On those days, I have a very tiny breakfast and then the pizza around 4:30. I almost always exceed my 1200-1300 calories, but still manage to have a deficit.
GodFathers Pizza.. man.. that is the best pizza.. In over 25 years never had a bad pizza.. Any kind.. thin or golden to original crust. I still eat it.. just a lot less when we have it. Thier taco pizza rocks!
I eat pizza 2-3 times a month, maybe more. I normally just eat a big salad and 1 normal size slice. All things in moderation!
I love California Pizza Kitchen's BBQ Chicken Pizza, but they're aren't any near where I live. As far as traditional pizza I prefer mushroom, peppers, onions, and maybe some chicken or ham. I also like Cici's Pizza. They have a BBQ pizza that is really good too! Plus their brownies and cinnamon rolls are AMAZING!!
The only take-out pizza I still like is from Panago (Canadian pizza chain): Grilled veggies with goat cheese (no mozzarella) on a multigrain crust.
I had to get pizza for lunch after reading this thread this morning- I was craving it so bad.
There's a local pizza place called Mama's Pizza and just their plain cheese pizza is to die for. I scrape all the cheese into one corner and eat that bit last. Yum!
