How much should I eat if I run for run walk for 30min?
I'm 5 feet 8 or 9 in, male 21yr and eating about 1500 cal a day but how much should I eat when I exercise for 30 min or more.
add another 200-300 calories to your diet on the days you exercise :)

Or enter your activity into the Activity Log, and you can eat that many more calories and still stay in your target range.
For example, my "Burn Rate" is at about 2100. My "Daily Goal" for calories is about 1800, leaving a deficit of 300 calories per day. Today I went swimming for 50 minutes, though, bumping my burn rate up to 2550. I can either chose to eat another 550 calories today (maintaining my deficit of 300 calories), or I can stay on track for my 1800 calories, for a deficit of 800 calories. We'll see how the day goes... I haven't been losing as fast as I like lately, so I'll probably try to stay closer to the 1800 calories.

Stay @ 1500 calories a day if your trying to lose weight.

I'd say that depends. If you do a thousand calories of cardio in a day (which I do about once a week), I wouldn't stick with 1500 calories for that day, especially if you're already on track for a 2 pound per week weight loss. I'd bump it up by 500 or so. I don't think it's good to have too much of a deficit, like more than 1000 calories.
But that's just my opinion...

Depends. If your an active athlete or have a very physical job then your probably 2000 or so calories short. On the other hand if someone is obese and does nothing all day then their probably only short a few hundred calories.........What is happening now to your weight eating 1500 calories? It really depends on your body type, stats, activity and goals.........it's really hard to say otherwise. imo
Can I do OA with Calorie Count?
Keeping food logs and counting calories is completely compatible with OA. Overeaters Anonymous (OA) advocates abstinence in-between... Read more
