The past few nights here have been 39F...as soon as it starts to get cool I start craving beef stew!
I don't have a recipe for it, I just make it up as I go along. I simmer a family sized pack of stewing beef for around 3 hours (less if it's fresh) in maybe 6 cups of water (?), and for veggies I throw in whatever I've got- this one has carrots, red potatoes (skin on), onions, squash, brown rice. If I had them on hand, I also would've added peas, corn, and celery. For seasonings I just wing it. Sage, garlic salt, basil, salt and pepper to taste. Would've love to have made dough boys on top as well, but if I had, I would've eaten them!
Hope you have a great weekend at your parents Jenn- I haven't been to Moncton in almost a year! I came close when I passed by on my way to PEI (twice this summer). You can still have a good eating weekend- eat all that good home cooking, but try to avoid seconds! :)
Breakfast- Special K, flax seed, 1% milk- 285
Lunch- 1 1/2 C beef stew, open faced sandwich on multigrain with 2 slices of thinly slices chicken breast, tomato, lettuce- 300
Snack- apple, almonds- 174
Supper- probably 1 1/2 C stew (boring I know, but I love stew!), Second Cup moccaccino granola bar- 365
Snack- apple, fat free choc pudding- 164
total- 1288
hm, started out good today, but then ended up making a few poor choices (2 LARGE bites of my husbands donair oven sub, piece of apple pie), and so I end the day at roughly 1449. And still wanting to eat :(
but won't
Hey Jenn! Where you at?? lol
I am now comfortably full after a slight binge. I was doing well until suppertime. I had 2 cups of turkey vegetable soup, an apple, about a dozen crackers, a piece of pie, and a granola bar.
My daily goal is 1276, today I hit roughly 1544. We'll just call this a maintenance day, I guess! (glad I went for that walk this morning)
I need more fats today...I've been trying to eat up ripe produce (so as not to let it spoil) and finish up the LAST of my chili so I've kinda let that guide some of my eating today XD
B - 7/8 frozen banana (just couldn't eat it all :P), plum, 1/2 kiwi, 4 shots espresso, 2 teaspoons sugar, and 1/2 cup 2% milk - 295 cals
L - 1 cup black bean chili, 1 Toufayan whole wheat pita loaf - 280ish cals
S1 - 2 shots espresso, 1/3 cup 2% milk, 1 teaspoon sugar - 55ish cals
Tried to eat a snack just now, but I'm really not hungry (probably because of the mass amounts of caffeine I've ingested :(...just as well though as I was tired and my mom's coming over so I'll most likely have a snack with her anyways.
today wasn't my best day, but it was still relatively good. i'm happy because this is my 5th day in-a-row of not binging! also, when i skip a workout, i usually feel triggered and then binge, but i'm taking a rest day today and haven't binged :)!
i'm sixteen years old, 5'2, and around 145 lbs, aiming for 120 lbs.
breakfast: 1 cup all bran strawberry medley cereal, and 1 cup of vanilla soymilk. (280, and it wasn't that filling)
lunch: 5 oz of shark steak, and a gala apple. (360)
dinner: 3 mini chicken skewers, 2 cups of brown rice, and some broccoli. (460)
snack: popcorn, and a skinny cow fudge bar. (390)
total: 1490 (my calorie goal is 1500 because i didn't exercise, but 1490 is close enough)
Sorry I haven't been on lately! Been a crazy hectic work week for me, and there is no end in sight. On a better note, I've started walking to work again and it's a much longer walk now that we've moved our office. Also in our new office I get to bring my Molly dog with me everyday so not only am I getting a great walk but so is she. It takes us 25 min in the am, we walk 20 min at lunch and it's 25 min home! It's good...for me anyway..I'm not huge into exercising but this is something I have to do.
My meals are poor for the beginning of the day!
B: Tea Biscuit, small choc milk
L: Pizza (work buying)
D: Have a roast with potatoes/carrots/turnip in the slow cooker! Yum
I'll get back on track with eating..I know I will LOL
It's only 12pm here so here's what I've got so far:
b: 2 egg white
s: 1 banana
l: carrots & hummus (no time to leave the office)
s: will be a Dole Mixed Fruit Cup
d: Not sure yet-- will not be able to go home!
trying to keep it just below 1200 cals today because I will not be able to work out! ![]()
Good Luck everyone!

Gosh, so many of you aren't eating enough. It may seem great to eat 1200 calories and exercise off 500, but your body will rebel soon. You'll feel too tired to go on with your daily routine, and you'll stop losing weight. Trust me, I've been there.
I'm going to quote you in a post YOU made on Aug 2008:
"I also despise it when anyone watches me eat or comments on my food/eating. This is left over from a job I had where I didn't get a break and I had to eat on the job, and there was always some douche leaning over the counter and saying, "Did ya save some for me?" or "Ooh, eating lunch on the job, are we?" So now I despise it. Yesterday I was eating a healthy chicken salad at a restaurant and studying. This random guy came up and said, "Whoa now, slow down, slow down!" thinking he was being funny. I almost killed him. by ratinhat88"
My calorie intake and my activity intake is NOT for you to judge (because alas you do not like being "commented/judged" on either.
Also remember what you post in the past before you dog others for how they eat and exercise, just not very kind of you. :o)

I don't think she was trying to attack anyone, or "dog" anyone, as you say.. This seems a little over dramatic for such a small opionion that wasn't directed towards you or anyone in particular.
Anyway, today I had soy milk, an apple, and a luna sunrise bar for breakfast. Two sandwiches and a baggie of celery/carrot sticks for lunch, and a salad for dinner. Had some cereal and fruit later on. Then some more cereal. And then some sugary instant oatmeal.. =(
