What did YOU eat today?
None of those pesky numbers, since we all are different.
One person can need 1400 a day, while another can need 2,500, and it can be really triggering to see someone ate a lower number than yourself.
Therefore, just list the food you ate. This will help us understand the value of eating healthy food (for the nutrients), while also indulging moderately in empty calories when we want. I don't know about you, but I'm aiming for 90% healthy foods - and 10% empty calories. ;)
Also, do not post here if you are starving yourself. I'm not interested in the details, it is only going to get others riled up, and it is triggering to those of us trying to recover from an eating disorder. Okay, thank-you.
Here's me for today:
Breakfast: slept far too late
Lunch: sandwich (100% whole wheat bread, garden burger veggie medley patty, soy dijon "mayo", pickle, lettuce), dried apricots, diet soda, tums, vitamin
Snack: apple, no salt added raw almond butter
Dinner: corn, bell peppers, sugar-snap peas, lettuce, firm tofu, soy dressing, tums
Snack: soy delicious peanut butter zig zag! yumm.

I'm quite hungry today! Here's what I've eaten.
Breakfast: Multi-grain hot cereal made with a banana, some plain 0% greek yogurt, tons of cinnamon and a spoonful of almond butter.
Snack: An apple.
Lunch: A handful of wheat thins and a salad made with romaine, red onion, cucumber, turkey, garlic hummus, feta cheese, cranberries and a mustard and balsamic vinegar dressing.
Snack: 0% vanilla greek yogurt and toffee nutty crunch cereal.
Snack: Half of a HUGE papaya with a lime squeezed all over it.
Dinner: A couple scrambled eggs and a piece of honey whole wheat toast with peanut butter and strawberry rhubarb jam.
B:bowl of cereal w/milk, 1 slice rye bread w/butter, 1 cup fruit yogurt, 1 rome apple
L: tofu salad (tofu+regular mayo) on a roll w/lettuce, fage 2%, PB Vitamuffin
D: BOCA cheeseburger, corn on the cob, veggie salad, strawberries
S: trail mix, an apple, 1 cup fruit yogurt
B: Slice of multigrain bread w. philly original cream cheese spread finished w. a egg, mince & veggie omelette on top of it. small bowl of oatmeal w. heaps of cinnamon all stirred in w. a tsp of almond butter.
S: chocolate caramel square w. hard coffee candies.
L: english muffin w. deli sliced turkey breast w. veggie filling and some avocado slices. sweet & salty cashew nutbar.
S: veggie crudite w. garlic & rosemary crackers and hummus dip.
D: Chicken Chow Mein w. extra crunchy veggies.
S: so full atm but ill prob have anything i feel like maybe something sweet :P
B: Fiber one caramel and oats bar
L: Turkey hot dog on a bun with mustard and pickle, parmesan Popchips and a huge piece of watermelon
S: Kettle Corn
1st D: tomato slices, cucumber slices and brown rice with soy sauce. A Gala apple on way to church
2nd D: A black pepper turkey sandwich with mustard, a pickle, and spinach. Homestyle popcorn.(when I got home)
S: Extra thin bread with sunflower seed butter and a cup of blueberries, frozen.
Breakfast: egg plus egg whites (cooked sunny side up) and avocado on two slices of whole wheat toast; green tea
Lunch: sandwich made with eggplant spread, tomatoes and lf cheddar on whole wheat bread drizzled with a little olive oil; raspberries dipped in vanilla flavored greek nonfat yogurt; green tea
Dinner: lentil soup, brown rice, corn and spinach; glass of skim milk
today (so far+what im planning) yum!!
B: Thomas' WW bagel, cinimmin raisin pb on 1/2, fig preserve on 1/2, 1 cup blueberry yogurt, large rome apple
L: Cheddar cheese w/lettuce+tomato on a roll, fage 2% yogurt, bowl of strawberries+grapes, tasted the ice cream after buying it lol
S: Edy's Loaded ice cream
D: hot dog, corn on the cob, lots of sauerkraut+mustard, veg salad w/ strawberries+raisins
S: apple, yogurt, PB
I'm just started the 6meal/day plan after lunch yesterday and I'm feeling better already:)
Breakfast (before workout) fat free no added sugar Yoplait Yogurt Strawberry--yummy, protein shake (WILL NOT TRY again--gave me a very bad tummyache, maybe I need a different kind or something? but I will get some almond or peanut butter. I have IBS so i need to be careful with artificial sweetners and the yogurt already has that), fig newtons
Snack-banana
lunch-I live with my very busy family. for various reasons, most meals are eaten out or takeout, with not very much time to go buy groceries. At home lunch is usually a lean turkey sandwich (turkey+wheat bread). My dad did get a bread with added protein:D Sounds a bit strange, but I don't care how it tastes--as long as I can swallow it all food will turn to crap later.
I've been trying to find a low sugar/no fat/low cal ice cream bar or sandwich to satisfy my sweet tooth, any suggestions? I would prefer something that tastes at least somewhat like the real ice cream.

Lunch: Half of a cantaloupe and a spinach wrap stuffed with half a huge tomato, deli turkey, spicy mustard and bread n' butter pickles.
Dinner: Chopped up an roasted zucchini, yellow summer squash and sweet potato with curry powder, salt and pepper, along with a curry flavored veggie patty and some 0% vanilla greek yogurt with diced up crystallized ginger stirred in. Yum!
Snack (if I need one!) will probably either be an apple or a piece of toast with peanut butter and strawberry rhubarb preserves.
Breakfast: chocolate soy milk, a piece of wheat bread with Nutella (<3), a banana, and blueberries
Lunch: chocolate soy milk, ham sandwich on wheat bread, red, green and yellow peppers, carrots, grape tomatoes, and cucumber slices with bleu cheese dressing to dip
Dinner: steak, tater tots with cheese, and green beans
Snack 1: a fruit salad with watermelon, grapes, blackberries, strawberries, and a kiwi
Snack 2: pretzels and low-fat dill dip
B:English muffin w. fried egg, cheese slice w. a handful of lettuce, carrot, tomato and cucumber slices, english tea, triple choc cookie.
S: Fruit yogurt mixed w. small sliced banana.
L: Chicken soup w. WG bread.
S: Apple, savoury crackers w. PB.

Snack: Honey Nut Cheerios and chocolate soy milk

Hi Agru. :) I buy MexAmerica whole wheat tortillas at the store (here's their website: http://www.mexamericafoods.com/ ) and fill them with whatever I have at home.
