What did YOU eat today? (veg*n style)
Lunch has been done, but what about those other 2 meals and 2-3 snacks that are a part of our daily lives? How can we just leave them out like that? I'll begin (and this was yesterday):
Breakfast: egg with muesli, tomatoes and spinach, splash of skim milk, spoonful of lf ricotta and dash of cinnamon; pear with peanut butter.
Snack: banana; green tea.
Lunch: sandwich made with 2 slices of all natural honey flax bread, lf ricotta cheese spread, spinach, tomatoes, carrots, mushrooms and green olives; nonfat plain yogurt topped with raspberries and almond slices.
Snack: kashi cruncy TLC bar; green tea.
Dinner: 1/2 serving of lentil soup; corn; glass of skim milk.
Snack: glass of red wine.
Yesterday...
- Onion bagel with Soy Garden margarine, small apple
- Tomato, cucumber, spinach, and mustard on sprouted wheat bread
- Sunflower hearts
- Plain baked sweet potato and baked seitan with hot sauce
- 2 squares (100 calories total) Endangered Species dark chocolate with blueberries
- Orange
- 3 beers and a shot of blueberry vodka that I split with my best friend because we were trying our best to drink without getting sloppy. :)

Breakfast - Indian bread with a cabbage curry
Lunch - Huhot stir fry (veggies, tofu and rice)
Dinner - will be Taco bell - bean burrito, and a baja gordita minus meat =)
Breakfast: Honey bunches of oats cereal with strawberries and almond milk
Snack: Multigrain cinnamon toast rice cake with a bit of ricemallow topping
Lunch: A cucumber roll, 3 pieces of vegetable tempura, and a little soup. I was loving the soup until I saw that there were mushrooms that looking like slugs floating around :(
Dinner: Roasted green and yellow squash and brussel sprouts with some braggs and balsamic vinegar
I think I'm going to have a soy delicious chocolate fudge bar now :)
- Nature's Path Optimum Zen cereal with non fat plain WestSoy, coffee
- Fantastic Foods vegan sloppy joe mix with added celery and onion, openfaced on sprouted wheat and seeded bread, Fritos :x
- Orange
- One slice sprouted wheat seeded bread cut in half to make a grilled vegan soy cheese with tomato slices. Half a cucumber cut into slices, some green pepper strips, baby carrots .
- Clif Nectar bar (lemon, vanilla, cashew)
- 1 square Endangered Species dark chocolate with blueberries
disease_of_ease, which soy cheese do you use? i've tried a couple but none of them were particularly appetizing :(
I have Tofutti slices (they're so-so) and I had some rice cheese for the past few weeks that was vegan but sorta bland, I think they're Galaxy brand? Some flavors are vegan and some aren't. For some reason lately I've been all about grilled vegan cheese and tomato sandwiches, the cheese is just there to serve the purpose of melting and holding the ginormous chunks of tomato in. :)
9:00am snack- coffee with almond milk
2:00pm lunch- assorted baby carrots, cucumber, tangerine, walnuts
2 vitawheat crackers with peanut butter and berry preserves, green tea
3:00pm- a chocolate truffle
4:00pm- 5 grain hotoats with canned pumpkin, spice with almond milk
6:00pm-sweet potato,onion,turnip,spinach, brocoli, and pinto beans, camomile tea
8:00pm- candy cane
Breakfast: Irish soda bread with maple syrup and a big bowl of fruit salad
Lunch: Taco Bell- "7" Layer burrito minus the cheese and sour cream
Snack: (appetizer) Few slices of bread with roasted garlic spread on top
Dinner: Vinny T's- 1/2 portion of pasta with roasted eggplant, mushrooms and spinach in a spicy fra diablo sauce
Have you ever tried grilled cheese with tofutti cream cheese? It's so good with tomato or pickles!
In order to recover from yesterday, today I had:
Blueberry/banan smoothie with som rice milk and rice protein powder.
"Appetizer" lunch of baby carrots, zucchini and lettuce dipped in hummus (took every ounce of will power to put down the pita chips at the store!! haha!)
snack will be fruit.
tonight i will have lightly steamed veggies, black beans and some quinoa!! Veggies sprayed with liquid aminos. yum!

Hey nicole, I wasn't sure if you're vegan or not, but I just wanted you and everyone else know that tempura is not usually supposed to have eggs in it, but I've found some places that do have egg in it, so be careful!! Usually found it out after I ate them..... >:(

Lunch - Pita pizza with mushrooms, onions and peppers and cheddar cheese, and a black bean salsa.
Dinner - Pita pockets stuffed with chili mushrooms, lettuce, onions and a tahini sauce
Also, just wanted to suggest something at taco bell to you guys. If you ever order a 7 Layer Burrito with no cheese no sour cream, you should tell them to add potatoes. SOOO good and SO filling!

I didn't even think about eggs in the batter! I will for sure ask next time. I recently found out that the spicy asparagus rolls I used to eat had mayo in the spicy sauce :(

Late lunch: Garden vegetable soup, an apple, and a piece of my mother's bread from Panera Bread.
Snack: Homemade peanut butter banana granola, 2 cups of popcorn, a piece of homemade brownie with vegan cream cheese frosting!
I'm going to go eat bunch of mixed fruit now. I've been so busy all day!
Yesterday was...

- Leftover Fantastic Foods sloppy joe mix open faced on sprouted wheat and seeded bread, salad of spinach, carrot, onion, and strawberries
- A whole sliced cucumber, 2 tablespoons garlic lovers hummus
- Whole wheat pasta shells, homemade marinara sauce, steamed broccoli
- Square of Endangered Species dark chocolate with raspberries... I need to stop buying those so much.
Today is/will be...
- Piece of sprouted wheat and seeded toast with Soy Garden margarine, banana, coffee
- Chickpeas mashed with veganaise on top of a large spinach salad with cucumber, onion, carrot, sprouts, and apple slices
- Organic unsalted sunflower hearts
- Homemade lentil soup and 1/2 a tomato, cucumber, onion, sprouts, and spinach sandwich with spicy mustard
- 1 Peak's Organic beer during the Red Sox game :)

Lunch - Pita pizza with mushrooms, onions and peppers and cheddar cheese, and a black bean salsa.
