If you're hungry then eat something light. Maybe some egg whites, an apple, or low fat string cheese. I personally indulge in a bag of Chips Ahoy thin crisps (100 calories).
I read somewhere that you def. should eat after working out because it
helps boost your metabolism to burn more fat. Maybe try a handful of
nuts, like walnuts, there good for you and its better to eat protien at
night (I think!).
Yes, you should definitely eat something after you work out (unless you aren't hungry).  Eating afterwards helps your metabolism keep going (as another poster said) and keeps you burning calories.  Also, it helps your body begin re-building muscle after your workout.  It is even good to have some sugar, such as through fruit or grape fruit.  Give it a try.
Yes, you should try to eat after a workout.
within about 1/2 an hour you should have some protein.
I deal with this every day, not because of a class but I dont get to the gym until 7:15 and get home around 9:15.  I try to have a snack, for protein and sweets I like cottage cheese with 2 slices of pineapple (140 calories) or if I have the munchies, I'll have a minibag of popcorn (90-100 calories)!
