I'm trying to get to a healthier weight, and I can usually stay on target most days, but whenever I'm out with friends all day, or invited to a friend's house, or I go to a restaurant that does not have easy access to nutritional information, I get very stressed out.
How can I count calories when I'm away from home with friends or dining out, while still enjoying the food everyone else is having?
Thank you!
I think what you need to do is analyze what you are going to get or eat. In other words you know a greasy burger with fries is going to be bad where a salad may be a more viable option. When I eat salads out now I get dressing on the side and see if they have a lower calorie dressing.
I have the same problem...but I think the best thing to do is try to pick the healthiest options and then when you're figuring calories just estimate them. Its going to be hard to get an exact estimate on dishes prepared at other peoples houses and so on, but try to find similar dishes/ingredients to estimate from. It wont be exact but it should be close enough.

So you can keep track of what you eat - which enables you to analyze your foods and receive the following:
- Health Score of your overall diet
- Warning when you approach your daily calorie limit
- Overview of the good and bad nutrients
