BMR/RMR Calculator - Calorie-Counting Math Tool
I use this calculator it'll give you a recommended deficits with reasons for it, and tell you how much to eat.
If you have any questions about using it let me know
If you're talking about eating a total of 800 calories a day, definitely not. You definitely wouldn't be getting enough calories. But I don't think that's what you're saying.
If you're trying to lose weight, mark yourself as lightly active and eat at least your BMR each day.
If you're trying to gain or maintain, mark yourself as moderately active and each whatever number of calories is appropriate.
Do be aware, if you're having trouble eating enough on working days, that the important number of calories is your average over the week, so you could make up for it on other days. For example, my calorie goal is 2000 calories a day; if I eat 1900 calories three days in a row, even if those are my active days, it's okay as long as I get an extra 300 calories somewhere else in the week.
What, it's a bit counterintuitive to eat less on days you burn more. You shouldn't be consistently eating 800 calories a day, especially if those are your active days.
I recently started eating back my calories and so far so good. I'm keeping a 615 cal deficit and based on my eating and exercise, I either eat more or exercise more to get that deficit. Based on my stats I should be losing 1.23 pds per week, and in the past week I've lost a pound.

Hey!
As a person who is on a diet, you should know that you should eat at least 1200 calories for your metabolism not to get into "saving mode". What is saving mode? Your metabolism has a detector for food. When it realizes it is not receiving enough food to supply your needs it goes on saving mode, meaning it saves all the calories that you eat so that you don't get weak.
Try always to keep up your calories to 1200 at least. Specially if you are doing heavy work. You might not notice it now, but will most definitely notice once you get older, as it will be harder and harder for you to lose weight, and anything you'll eat will make you fat.
You could try having a bigger breakfast, or eating snacks in the afternoon, but all at the same time. You know it is not good to eat very often.
Now you know! good luck.
