HELP!!! WHATS TODAY MONDAY? IM JUST SITTING AT MY DESK AND ITS DEAD TODAY AT MY JOB... IM SOOO BORED AND YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENES WHEN I GET BORED... I WANT TO EAT, EAT AND EAT. ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS OR IS GOING THROUGH SOMETHING SIMILIAR?

Sip some water...that's what I do when I have down-time and am sitting at my desk on this site..like right now. Also, I find it helps when I eat 5-6 small meals a day so I'm eating every 2-3 hours.

I'm on the same boat with you! I'm a receptionist with a very boring job. Somedays (like today) I will literally sit here all day and do absolutely nothing (besides answer the phone) and just browse the internet! I would take sweet's advice. I eat breakfast, a snack in the morning (sugar free pudding today for example), lunch, another snack in the afternoon (apple or tuna today) and dinner when I get home. I'm almost never hungry although I will admit I had a sweet tooth earlier and so I ate the remaining half a bag of animal crackers (120 calories) that I had Friday.

Soshy, try to find some busy work that will keep your mind occupied. If you are able to get up from your desk, take a short break and walk around. I used to go out into the lobby and walk up and down a flight of steps a few times.
Make yourself a hot cup of tea ... and search the web for new exercise ideas...or fashion tips, etc., something geared toward your weight loss. Focus your mind on finding the latest exercise or fashion - and it will remind you not to "munch".
I find that litterally picking at my food helps in situations like these. When I'm at my desk looking from my sad little salad to the clock to see if its snack time, I'll open the container (down low where no one can see) and use my fork to twirl the greens into little pieces. Its a game. I can't stop and eat the salad until its all 'cut up'. By the time I'm done, its usually past time for my snack and I acutally eat slower since its in a million little bits. Sounds dumb, but it works for me.
I chew some sugar free gum when I feel like eating. Try it, it might work for you too.
Although this wont help much if you have food lying around the office, I always make sure I leave any extra change or dollars I have in my car.. That way I'll be less able to make a visit to the vending machine.

Oh my god, i chew so much sugarfee gum too! it helps so much. aspecially since i quit smoking. the only thing is it gives me gas (sorry for too much infor.)...
Thanks for the reminder... I'm out of gum at my desk at work... Time to go back to costco!
