eating breakfast out

Where is the best place to eat out healthy in the morning?

Like sit down and eat. Not fast food.

And what kind of meal can i get with about a 500-600 total cal meal goal?

I like IHOP personally.. They've got a healthy menu... But I tend to go way overboard when I eat there so I rarely do... I always get the Veggie Black Bean Chili Omelette (No Sour Cream) with 3 Harvest Grain'N'Nut Pancakes and Sugar Free syrup... It's somewhere around 1400 calories for the whole thing... But you can always divide that up and get half of it to go... Or you could go for something lower calorie...

I believe their buttermilk pancakes are under 600 calories and I'm pretty sure they have some other things, too... I know the Harvest Grain'N'Nut pancakes are 180 cals per pancake...

If you're looking to keep it low though, you could always grab an egg and cheese McMuffin... That's not insanely high in calories...

ah.
Well i NEVER eat out.
I don't know much about calories at fast food or diners or whatever.

But for what you are saying,
Does this chart seem right?

So four buttermilk pancakes without topping is not out of my reach? :)
Anywhere usually has something you can have. Cafes and stuff
Hungry girl did a report on eating out at brekkie. Google it

500 cal is EASY
2 poached eggs (large)
Slice of bread (try and get wholegrain to keep you full)
Grilled tomatoes and mushrooms (no oil pls)
Fresh fruit
Lots of water or plain tea.

Most places have a menu with stuff like this, you just need to alter it to be more diet friendly (asking for no butter/oil)

I avoid panckaes as its hard to estimate, but they cant really scerw up poached eggs. You can also bring along a little pot of sugar-free jam if you want, for pancakes. Just avoid the cream. maybe get some blueberry pancakes. Ask if they can use skim instead of full cream (may be hard) and bring your own syrup

If you get an egg white omlette, make surey ou say no milk/cream/butter added. But that's anotehr alternative - egg hwite omlette with veggies
Starbucks have (less than 5% fat) sandwiches..

A low fat tuna sndwich is 295 calories

A low fat chicken sandwich is 304 calories

I also think most of their paninis and wraps are between 400-550

You could add a cup of coffee or tea, a fruit salad, and there you go!
not sure of the calorie content, but at Denny's you can substitute the eggs in any breakfast with eggbeaters, and they even have a special "Fit Fare" veggie omelette.

and just ask politely for no (or less) oil/butter/etc in whatever you're ordering. and request skim milk if you can.
