Your metabolism is raised when you are sick, because it working to fight off the infection. I suggest eating normally, and give yourself a day off from working out! If you do need to work out, do yoga or pilates, something less strenuous.
If your hunger is completely gone because you are sick, that's pretty normal. One day of low calorie intake isn't going to hurt you in the long run. However, if you are worried, drink some 100% juices or Gatorade for the electrolytes.
I wouldn't worry about one day being way under, just try as best you can to get enough into you the rest of the days you feel crappy!
Most people tend to loose their appetite when they're sick.
They have that saying: "feed a fever, starve a cold". You're body will bounce back in no time, even if all you can really eat is soup and juice.
Also gargle salt water to help your throat (don't swallow obviously). It'd a good well to help temporarily ease the pain. I used to do it alot as a kid if it couldn't sleep because of the throat.

Figure out what type of eater you are and you might just find the answer to permanent weight loss.
