hey everyone!

this weekend i went out of town and there were high calorie foods and sweets and i think i ate a good 500-700 extra calories for 2 days!! (AHHHH) currently i eat 1500-1700 to maintain. im 5 foot 1/2 inch and 115 pounds. i exercise about 30 minutes a day. plus or minus some.  are these extra calories going to do a lot of damage? im really really worried!!

500-700 calories for 2 days is only 1000-1400, so the most you gained is about 1/3 pound, which isn't even noticeable and you can just do a couple extra minutes of exercise to make up for it if it bothers you that much. 10 minutes extra each day this week will more than make up for it, so don't worry too much :) what dictates how much you eat each day?? exercise days you eat 1700? what kind of exercise do you do each day?? is it structured or just daily life's activities? i am around your height and trying to maintain which is why i ask. 

that's what i was thinking but its still really nice to have some assurance from someone else. well i did a bunch of those calculators online that tell you roughly how many calories you should eat per day and then i averaged them out and it was between 1700-2000 but im trying to stay a little under just to be on the safe side. in the morning i do 15-30 minutes of an exercise video. i did pilates for 2 weeks now im doing this walk away the pounds video. im in school so i do a lot of walking from class to class and then on the days that i work i go to the gym for 15-20 minutes right before. im just curious but what's your height age and weight?

It takes 3500 extra calories then your burn to gain only 1 pound.

I have eaten MUCH more then this on a binge, and not gained weight because I went back to eating normally afterwards, so the excess calories leveled out.

1400 divided by 2 = 200 so cutting 200 calories a day would literally compensate without any extra exercise, or you would burn 200 extra calories a day.

I find that the amount you ate normally just levels out without any extra effort
