This is probably considered by some to be a stupid question; but I just wanted to give my stats and tell you how many cal I'm eating, because I'm not sure I'm going to see results with what I'm doing. I'm a 26-years-old female, 5' 8.5," ~140 lbs. I know I'm at a good weight now, but I would like to drop the last 5-10 vanity lbs. I currently run 5-6 days a week for one hour, running 7 miles an hour on most days. I also lift weights 2 times a week for 10-20 min. Now, currently, I'm sticking to 1750 cal to 1850 cal a day; but is that too much? I set my burn meter to sedentary and add in the exercise, and it says I burn ~2400 on most workout days. If I change my activity level to moderate, it says I burn 2800-3000 cal a day. So, first of all, is my activity level setting correct? SHOULD I be setting it to sedentary and adding in exercise, or should I be setting it to moderate/active and adding in exercise? Also, am I eating too many cals to see results? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I've already lost 40-50 lbs and developed an ED from over-restricting my cals. Whenever I drop below 1700 cal a day I seem to have a lot of trouble resisting a binge urge. Any thoughts?

I don't think you're weight training for long enough. 10-20 mins twice a week is probably not going to build much muscle.
I'm doing that on the advice of my personal trainer, so I'm sticking with 10-20 min for now, mostly because I'm more of a runner anyway (typically run 35-45 miles per week).
I'm not sure that has to do with how many calories I'm eating, also, since I burn the majority of my calories with my 7 mile runs.

I think you are doing just fine! Keep up the good work!
I'm a runner also. I used another website to help me figure out how much I should eat. It's www.runningforfitness.org
I put in your stats, and using a sedentary lifestyle, it said you should eat between 2127 and 2212 (low was for 35 miles, higher for 45 miles). Under moderately active, it says 2491-2576. It uses the # of miles you run to help determine how much you should eat. I run about 45 miles a week and I'm losing on about 2300 calories a day. You may want to check it out.

Aezell1- Thank you, that is SO HELPFUL. I've had so much trouble trying to figure out how much I should eat since I run so much. This is very useful! :D
You might get a nicer look by toning your muscles instead... you can be underweight and look flabby if you don't do any weight training:)
I can't believe I'm even saying this with my history of preaching weights, but she wasn't asking for a critique of her routine!
I think that if you feel close to a binge urge if you eat less, you should definately stick to what your doing.
