Eating healthy Yet dinning out

Being single and going out and participating in many activities, sometimes means eating in Restaurants and pubs.  Unfortunately, it is very hard to get low carb, low fat food unless we eat salad and drink water. But then again, why would you go to a pub ??

About a week ago, a Friend of mine took me to one of the ethic Restaurants in North part of the city.  The atmosphere was ok But the food was excellent. Steamed Basmati Rice and BBQ meat and for drink we tried this white color Drink which was very good. Apparently was made with yogurt and spices.

Although this is not the first time I have been to an ethnic restaurant, I have noticed something interesting.

Most ethnic Restaurants ( not all) try to enhance their taste with Spices and herbs whereas North American Restaurants , Specially Bar and Grill style food, tries to enhance the taste of their food through use of fatty sauces and deep frying their food.

Agreed!!  Isn't it nice when one can go out and still eat healthy?  I personally grill, steam and add spices to our home cooked meals as opposed to frying, and saucing.
