eating at a picnic today!!

im going to a picnic and i don't want to go over my calorie amount. i know there are going to be lots of HIGH calorie foods there. i have about 800 calories for this meal that i can eat and im not having any sweet desserts. instead of a hamburger or hotdog im going to have a pita pocket filled with grilled chicken and veggies. what else can i do to not go over my calories?

800 calories is enough to have almost anything you want. 1 serving of chips is about 150 calories, the pita with chicken and veggies will probably run you about 300 if the chicken is cooked on the grill or something like that, you can have an ice cream if it's available, really anything in moderation because at 800 calories you have a pretty wide range of choices. a hotdog with a bun and mustard is pretty reasonable and would probably only run you 300 tops, if they aren't the monster hot dogs. if you wanted some watermelon that would be a good choice. you could also have a small salad made with the burger toppings. it depends on what is at the picnic really. if something looks good then eat a small amount, i doubt you'll blow through the 800 calories you have planned. :)

I eat everything, just small portions of each...and lots of fruit! Hot dog with no bun.
