ED Recovery Club II (the REAL one)

Quote  |  Reply

OK on acount of how the first "ED Recovery Club" was not helping most of us, I have decided to start a new one... The rules are simple: this is for advice and help only! Absolutely NO complaining about:

"oh no, I ate over 100 calories today!"

"I weigh 56lbs soaking wet, I am so fat!"

"I tried to binge/purge 3 jars of peanut butter!"

NO NO NO!!

This is for people who actually WANT to recover. All you are doing when you post these comments is hindering your recovery progress and the progress of others.

Lets focus on how to regain a healthy body and mind, whether you suffer from anorexia, bulemia, BED, bigorexia, orthorexia or any other ED-NOS.. we are here to help

Please girls (and guys), we all have the potential to be happy and beautiful, don't let food control and ruin your life.

I look forward to hearing back from everyone.

Take care. x0x

I'm in =]

I'm in also.

I'm in.

I've had bulimia for about a year and a half now, and started proper treatment in March. At my worst I was binging and purging 8 or 9 times a day, losing/gaining 10 pounds within a week and so on and so forth.

Its gradually gotten better, to the point where I can go for a week or two then my willpower pops. So as a sort of Final, closure, incentive kind of thing, I got my tongue pierced a week ago. I want that to mark the last time I binge and purge. Its still too sore to contemplate sticking my fingers down my throat (or binging for that matter) so its working so far :P

I'm still struggling to get into normal eating habits, and my illness caused me to gain over a stone which I'm trying to lose by exercise and just eating 3 meals a day (calorie counting sets me back). My therapist agrees with what I'm doing..one day we'll get there :D

you can do it angel we are all behind you h x

Angel, that is a fantastic step you're taking. You have done so well and will continue to do even better.
