YUM! I just had some as a post-workout snack and they are SO tasty. I buy the pre-steamed ones and just heat up a half cup (they're already removed from the pod. I prefer the kind in the pod but I can't find them at the store recently) in the microwave for a minute or so. Put on about a teaspoon of sea salt and munch away.

SO tasty, and good for you. Do you guys like edamame?

LOVE it. When I go out for sushi I always order edamame for an appetizer. Only thing you have to watch for is the salt.

Walmart sells frozen/steamable edamame.

I have a hard time looking for the ones out of the pod...suggesstions?

exactly what I have for a snack too, so so good I LOVE them.

And the ones in pods are fun to eat too, its like a snack and entertainment all in one:)

Trader Joe's is a good place to buy edamame - and lots of other yummy  healthy (inexpensive) snacks!

well id never heard of these before today! But after googling them aparently its one of the three things Victoria beckam is allowed to eat, so i guess i might give them a try!

Wonder if i can actually buy them here in the UK.

Never tried them until this year and I really like them...I like them in the pod cuz it slows me down eating...

I'm eating edamame right now! I found the kind in the pod at my Whole Foods, but it's not always there.

Definitely a favorite food.

Love edamame! Do you or someone you know have a Costco membership? There are usually large bags of frozen pre-portioned edamame in the pod for a good price.

If you're at all concerned with sodium intake, you can skip the salt and toss on a teaspoon of sesame seeds. Tasty and saltless. I've also found that freshly steamed in-the-pod edamame has a better flavor that is easily enjoyed w/o salt.

Ooh, that sounds good. Maybe I should pick up some sesame seeds. :) I usually just put two "grinds" or so from my sea salt grinder on there, which isn't -too- bad...

Those little beans are awesome on salads! Good in wraps, tossed in a strir fry, ah shoot they just rock!
