Ok, so my first experience with edemmame was tonight. I bought a frozen bag of the whole pods, and stir fried them in sesime oil, and procceded to eat them....whole. A few minunts after finishing the whole bag(And thoroughly enjoying them) I was watching food network, and Aalton brown comes on and says that the husk is completely indigestible. Well I have just eaten a whole bag of husk, so what can i expect? just alot of fiber, or something less plesent.
Man....I don't have an answer for you...and I tried to look it up, but I have to say that sounds like something that would happen to me...so I feel for ya!! LOL! If no one knows, you will have to tell later what the side effects are, and I hope they aren't anything too bad!
um, well I wouldn't say that anything really would happen... idk I eat the pods all the time. I personally like the texture..., lol. But I never had any bad effects. I can imagine having a high celulose content ... you may see them in the same light you see corn kernals. But other than that I doubt the fiber content would be so high that you would make yourself sick or anything.
It reminded me of corn too. Pretty harmless but I don't think I've ever had edamame so I can't say for certain.
in the most blatent of terms: you're going to expell the results.
That's it.
You won't die, you'll just ****.
Next time, just eat the beans.
There's a lot worse things that could happen. It's ok. No harm done.
LOL. I've done this too. I didn't eat a whole bag but I ate a few with the husks, luckily I had someone tell me that you actually dont eat them. You should be fine.
