once a food is posted, you can't click on it to change the serving size or whatever; you have to delete and then add again.

can we just click on it, get an edit button, so we can fix the info?

I agree this would be a useful tool. Just today I wanted to edit what I had entered for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and found I had to delete and re-enter, as you say.

On a related note, how do I find generic things like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, home-made? It took a long time to enter all that data, and I'd be glad to have the option of choosing one already entered, even if it isn't exactly correct. But when I look up peanut butter and jelly, all I see on the list is store-manufactured stuff...

One solution for you (pcferg) is to create a tag containing all the food items that make up your pb&j sandwich.  Then whenever you have one, just click on the entire tag to add it to your log.  The beauty of tags is that one item can be in multiple tags.  For example, a slice of bread can be in your pb&j tag and in your breads tag and even in another type of sandwich tag - i.e. turkey sandwich.

My example: I eat the same breakfast almost every day so I have a tag called 'breakfast' which includes not only the food but also the coffee and fat free half and half.  I just click on the '+' next to the breakfast tag and it adds my entire breakfast easily and quickly to my log, displaying each item individually.  On some weekend mornings I might have an additional item with breakfast (like turkey bacon or an extra cup of coffee).  If so, I add my breakfast tag plus the additional items to my log.  Or if I don't eat one item on the breakfast tag I just delete the single entry from the log after adding the breakfast tag.  Easy enough.  I hope this helps.

I've only been on the sight 2 days now and a usefull tool I have found is NEW RECEPI...you basically imput your recepi, (like your pb&j) and it calculates everything for you. If you have a certain bread or peanut butter and jelly you use, you can put the code numbers and it calculates it exactly. Then you just tag it and it's there for future uses.

Mediumpetite....Thanks so much for the tag info! I put tags on things, but I was not using them properly. Now it will be easier for me to imput some of my meals since I have the same thing for snacks and certain meals.
