She is! Really!

Everyone seems worried that she will be able to actually take care of these babies through publicity etc....I hope she does. Our government can't afford it. Also...her face....collegen injections anyone? Her lips are strange looking. They showed an older photo of her...her lips are not naturally so plump. How is she ever going to get out to the gym to lose the baby weight? Can't imagine.

I don't really care if she uses publicity to take care of the babies. Hell, more power to her! Means MY tax dollars won't be spent on her lack of conscience.

I'm irritated that people have no thoughts of others and what their situation will do to other people before they jump in, head first.

Oh, and the fact that she doesn't think food stamps are welfare? Uh, excuse me? Where do you think the money for food stamps comes from? The sky?!

 He could have denied her. All he had to do was see that she already had 6 kids with no income, no place of her own, obvious mental issues, etc....

 Exactly. She couldn't have opted to adopt given her position in life. She would've been flat out turned away. I don't understand why she wasn't denied respectively. ( By every doctor ) It shouldn't have been something available to her due to her circumstances,imho. People doctor hop until they get the results/drugs that they're seeking. It's beyond me that this was even an option for her consideration. The doctor should've referred her to someone in mental health. It's a harsh reality that her children will ultimately be the ones to suffer.

 Actually, it is the doctor's fault.  He's under investigation for medical fraud.  apparently he did it to get publicity for his method of implantation, which doesn't work for anybody except the rare client.  She was a goldmine for him.

One more thing--we mustn't forget that Suleman plans to back to school in the fall to complete her master's degree & will depend on the school's daycare center to take care of her babies.  Complete hogwash in my opinion.  She has 14 children to raise (some of whom have disabilities)--how on earth will she be able to step out of the house let alone go back to school since she has no husband and no source of income???  How????  And to depend on the school's daycare center to take care of them?! 

Personally, I can't wait until the babies are able to come home & then she will really see how it is to take care of 8 babies & 6 young children all at the same time.  Welcome to reality!

  It's pathetic. She seriously sounds like she's just looking for an easy target for attention. A way to mooch a living,child care, and housing off society. ( Whilst she continues to do nothing but breed.) Her children should be taken away from her if she's a mental case. At the very least she should be evaluated by a professional.The fact she knowingly brought multiples into her circumstances to ' fulfill a void ' due to being an only child is... complete bs. She already has six to fill that void. Give me a BREAK. The woman is a burden to her children, imo.  ( She needs serious psychological help. )

So, she wants to get off welfare, so she can be supported by the public via internet. I wonder if her additional classes will cover cognitive dissonance.

Put the kids in school day care. She has no idea how long people wait for opening for one child to get in. School loans - my school loans due to the increase in tution, and no increase in max of school loans it doesn't even cover the tution or books - when is she going to have time to study, or sleep for that matter. I feel for her parents. 

Any one from CA? I heard that CA. isn't even giving state tax refund this year due to their problem with money.

I work with a single mom with two kids that gets free day care, hud housing,nice house she pays 140.00 a mo. and food stamps 200.00 month, she make the same amount as me. she bought a new car last summer so decided she wanted to pay it off so took a second job and paid her car off, bought a 1500 bedroom set the other day  and nails done all the time since she doesn't have to pay for food, or the reg. amount for rent or day care like everyone else. I want the government to do that for me. My tax dollars are supporting her and she is living better than  me.  The need to monitor these people better.

Hey gypsierose... just wanted to note that any income is supposed to be reported and will decrease benefits so she could not be reporting it.  I know here they factor in your car (or payments), any gifts or help family/friends have provided with bills and it's really rough for a lot of people to even get help.  But I've seen a ton of folks like that also.  It's people like that causing so many of the problems for the rest out there that really need the help.

Back to ot... this story gives me a way out of being labeled nuts for having 4.  In a way I thank her for that!  On the other hand... I feel bad for the kids.  I do with any family that's as large (or larger) regardless of 2 parents or 1.  I remember reading that the family with 18, each kid gets 30 minutes of time with a parent daily and one of the older kids 'mentors' them.  I can't imagine only giving any of my kids 30 minutes of my time daily.

Is it still possible for her to conceive the old fashion way? I mean if her tubes aren't tied,ect. It's possible she could have more without the help along from a doctor, right?

I'm shocked by how unchristian and judgemental everyone is being.  The  role of a woman is to procreate, and she's simply fulfilling her inherent purpose as a sacred vessel.  She should be held up as a model for today's women to emulate, not scorned and chastised by an unenlightened public.  There was another woman who gave birth to enough children to populate a planet - and her name was Eve.
