How is Edy's No Sugar Added Ice Cream?

Quote  |  Reply

I'm thinking of getting some ice cream and saw that they have no sugar added ice creams.  Anyone like any of the flavors?  Is the texture all funked up with less sugar?

nope...it is deeelish!! yum yum...i like the butter pecan and cookie dough flavors..great indulgence with like 1/2 the calories. even if the texture is a BIT off it is worth it because you can eat twice as much..more bang for the calorie buck...lol.

OMG, I couldn't LIVE without it!!!! I can't have all the sugar packed in regular ice cream, but it definatly is my ULTIMATE favorite dessert. Where i live, it's called Dreyers, but I'm pretty positive it's the same thing. The texture is exactly the same, and it's SOOO much better tasting to me. i recently had a couple bites of full sugar ice cream and hated it, was tasted disgusting to me. The fat content is not any lower than regular, but its much lower cal-the mocha (the best tasting in my opinion) is only 90 cals per serving!!! you can have two servings for the calorie content of one serving of regular!! i love the mint and the pecan oh-and the the cookie dough too!!! try it!!

I don't know where you are located but Wawa and Turkey Hill both have very good NSA ice cream. Wawa-Moose Tracks, Turkey Hill-Peanut Brittle.

Edy's no sugar added slow churned cookie dough is the BEST ice cream out there!! It's my all time favorite! I mean 120 calories for 1/2 cup of goodness? Who wouldn't love it!! It tastes so good! I highly recommend it

I also highly recommend the Edy's Frozen Caramel Praline Vanilla yogurt.

This conversation is SO NOT NICE right before lunch. Tongue out

Thanks for the question and all the answers! I should look into that as well. We still have 2 pints of H-D at home to eat through. At 280 calories per 1/2 cup, it is going to take a few weeks of careful proportioning!!

Now, so get DH to eat the stuff. He avoids anything that HINTS at being Lite, Low-Fat, etc.
