EFF meeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!! lol :0))
WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPPPPLAAAA!!!!
Weighed miself yesterday at the gym and i have shed 5 freekin lbs lol!!!!
that's since the 8th September. Im well happy lol.
1 more lb and im in another stone bracket whoop haha.
Get this tho my fat % has apparently gone up 0.1%.......how does this make sense please?
my BMI is down 0.7 too yay! all of it counts right haha, my water weight is down 2lbs tho...thats not good is it?
Share guys, good/bad or whatever. Happy days :0))
I have very little faith in body-fat measurements at the best of times and 0.1%... a tenth of one percent?... is so small as to be insignificant. 'Water weight' goes up and down all the time... so it's neither good nor bad. Well done!
Well done to u!!! I can't weigh myself at the moment as I am at home ill :( I haven't weighed in for two weeks now, so hopefully it will be a pleasant surprise, but I doubt it when I haven't gotten off my butt and done any exercise because I've been too ill!
Keep it up!
if you lost 5lbs since the 8th, thats faster than the recommended 1lb a week. you therefore may preferentially lose muscle before fat thereby increasing your bodyfat contentq
i've been doing weights 3-4 times a week so i doubt il be losing muscle really?
Also my recommendation is 1.5 to 2lbs because i am more than the 'norm' overweight
Ive got 42 more lbs to lose you see
hey nuts. not criticising you. you dont seem to be unhealthy in your attitude. but the only explanation where your bodyfat goes up but your weight goes down is that you have lost muscle.
doing weights helps but it doesnt prevent muscle loss completely
If you've just started a program, typically some of the first weight loss is water which can give you higher than expected results...this is not a bad thing if this is what it is, but if you continue to lose at a higher rate please do try to figure out what is going on.
smwhipple - it's not a high rate!
1.5-2lbs is what ive been recommended by CC.
That 5lbs is from the 8th Sept to the 24th so that is just right.
Not everybody is advised to shed 0.5-1lb a week, it depends how much you have to lose etc.
Fidget - yeah is ee ur explanation, it was 0.1% so not too fussed by it but thanks yeah does make sense spose.
Didnt expect such negativity
Congrats Nutbox. May your weigh ins always be happy ones! x

Great Job.. I wouldnt worry too much over that.. You are losing at a good rate... Some people can lose faster then others if you exercise more then you ever had. If it is showing higher it could mean that your muscles are holding temporary water. Great job! I would just disregard the negativity. It is uncalled for. You should contunue doing what works for you and you alone. The numbers will change from time to time. Good Luck!
Congratulations on the loss! And I'm going with GI Jane on this. Body fat scales are by no means accurate. They give you a number in the ballpark, but that's it. .1% is well within their margin of error.
Why is pointing out that fast loss can indicate muscle loss negative? It's just making the OP aware of the science of weight loss.
WOW! Great job! Sounds to me like you are right on track! ![]()
merylwhite - i am aware of the science of weight loss.
It wasnt that that was negative being told im doing it all wrong and should think about changin things if i continue to lose at a high weight etc is pretty negative when uv just finally got bk on track and shed 5lbs.
also i have been doin weights three times a week and resistance training as well as cardio in order to NOT lose muscle adn to lose fat. So i am making all the conscious effort to keep my muscle and only lose the fat as such.
I know that i may have lost some and some could be water etc but it was meant to be a 'yay to me' kinda post.
thats all!
Thanks to all, i am very pleased, finally eh lol. just gotta stick with it, if i lose 2 more by my next weigh day (every fortnight) il have lost half a stone which means i get to spend £10 all to myself yay lol.

I think your doing great. There are a lot of negative people who think they know your body and what is good for you. Or those who just because lost a few pounds are diet experts. Good on you!!! kEEP IT UP!
