Here's what I think goes on them: two fried eggs, two pieces of american cheese, and then whichever of the breads they choose to pile it on that day.
Any ideas?
Well, eggs are seventy each. That doesn't include the butter. The type of American cheese I eat is 100 calories for thin cut aprox 4x4 square, so assuming yours is the same size, that's another 200. Bread is 80-110 calories a slice, so adding two of those at say a hundred each, you've got a 550 calorie breakfast sandwich. That's not including butter (you can add another 100 for tablespoon for that.)
Anyway, I can't know for sure. Take a picture? :D
Any way you could ask for egg whites? or no butter? one slice of cheese? lowfat cheese? Those modifications really help. Just ask for it "dry" I don't understand why they wouldn't be able to do that at the very least.
I think 550 is actually a lowball for how many calories that could be. If each slice of cheese=100, so 200, bagel is usually 300-350, eggs say 150+butter and a croissant could be even more, you could be looking at 800+ calories just for breakfast! And that's without milk/juice or anything else! Unless you are able to take in 2500+ calories a day I would not recommend this. Even if you can that can be fairly fatty anyway. A few modifications though and it could be a fairly healthy breakfast.
I try to make my own egg sandwich in the morning all you need is a microwave and toaster
I have a microwave egg cooker I got from walmart
1 jumbo egg, that a slice a cheese, 2 strips of microwave bacon and an 100cal english muffin(need a toaster for this) make for a good low cal breakfast (about 283cal)
after you get the motions down, it takes about 3 minutes to make(I make the eggs and bacon while the bread is toasting)
