Ekk! Fazoli's!!

Quote  |  Reply
Tomorrow my friends and I are going to Fazoli's, I've looked tirelessly at the menu and I've come to the conclusion that I'm going to get a kid's cheese pizza (270 calories), however that may seem a bit weird. Are there any healthy choices out there??

Why would that seem weird? Sounds reasonable to me. 270 calorie Pizza! Yum!
It's only 6 inches wide. Boo...at least I still get pizza right?
I heart Fazolis! have fun tomorrow!
Just stay away from their breadsticks!
Haha, I remember eating Fazoli's on a totally regular basis when I lived in Austin....drive through italian, great concept! Wish we had one in Dallas Sealed
MMm pizza! You could also have a bowl of veggie soup at home before you go so you can fill up a little and not have bites of everyone else's food, and because that seems like a pretty small pizza...I'm always guilty of that! But enjoy your pizza girl!
Ended up with minestrone soup and a salad--190 calories!!
Great job on sticking with something small and low cal... and healthy!  Pizza is SO bad for you, keep on rock'n that weight off!!
iheartsin, there is one in North Richland Hills, right off of Rufe Snow. If you REALLY want it, not that far...
Don't tell me that....LOL...coinkidink too, my hubby was living there on the same street when we seperated...weird.
Actually, I've found that pizza CAN be a balanced and nutritious meal. I mean, it all depends what you put on it/makes it up. Whole wheat crust, cheese (could even be low-fat) and veggies (with or without meat) is balanced. You would have protein fat and carbs. Try to remember that nothing is 'forbidden' or entirely off limits lest you just feel super constricted. In fact, I'm going out for pizza tonight! Moderation gals!

jessinca- you are soooo totally right! Mmm I love making my own pizza crust (I play around with different wholegrain flours... you can make some really tasty and exotic breads that way) and piling eggplant, tomato, zucchini, peppers, olives and oregano onto it...  at the moment I'm not so into mozarella cheese... so i sprinkle a tsp of parmesan over the top- soooo goood!!! And it is healthy- for both body and spirit! Everything in moderation.

it's also great fun to do when friends are over...  I make the dough in advance... then set the gang to work chopping veggies and stuff and everyone makes their own personalized pie!
I always feel like I've treated myself to something really special when I do this... you know what I haven't made pizza in a while- I think I'll make it on Friday for dinner!
